Well Good news, I replaced the blown fuse, reassembled the TV now its working again. Warning to non electronic technicians this is quite a job be careful and thoughrough, or you could be in for along nite. Anyways ordered a bulb off Ebay $86 and 2 day shipping to hawaii = $115 Hopefully it will pay off and I can milk another year out of this TV that until recently I was fairly satisified with. The lamp status is still yellow will update this post if replacing the lamp turns the green status light to green again, still wondering why the fuse blew in the first place, I read somewhere that the TV ballast trying to light an old worn out bulb could have been the reason it blew not sure..

I looked up the manual online - after you replace the bulb, you need to reset the bulb life timer. Using the TV remote push the menu button, SETUP menu, select the lamp reminder option to reset the hours to zero. That might help the status indicators.

A steady yellow LED can mean 1. Excess Temperature 2. Usage time is over 4000 hrs on lamp
Blinking Yellow: 1. Filter cover open 2. Lamp Cover open

There are 7 capacitors that need replacing in you digital module, it is located on the left hand side facing the back of the set. After opening the module there is a small power board inside, replace all 1000uf 16volt capaictors with 680uf 16volt capaictors. After replacing them there will be a small green led on the board that lights inside the digital unit. it will flash then go steady if all is ok with the set after replacing these capacitors. After this is done the power light up front will blink about 30 secs then go off. Turn on the television and happy viewing...

My RCA HDTV D52W23 Will not Turn On!!

Trying installing a new power supply. This is the main problem with tv's with the issue. But if you just bought it I would try to get my money back from where I bought it from. Installing a power supply for a tv is not that hard at all.

Mitsubishi WS-65313 65 in. TV will no longer power up.

You should call a good TV Tech. This problem cannot be solved by a consumer. The one thing you might try is to unplug it from the wall for a few minutes and then try it again.

Mitsubishi TS-50611 projection tv has no video

You can do quite a bit to narrow things down....

First thing, unplug the set and wait 10 minutes. Then plug it in and watch the green power LED. If it does nothing push the power button and watch the power LED. If the set doesn't respond hold down the MENU and INPUT buttons on the front of the set until the LED starts blinking. If it blinks at this time count the blinks and then repost.

Blinking green timer light and fan turning on randomly, now no power at all

SYMPTOM: Power LED does not stop blinking after plug in.
CURE: Check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the DM PCB.
Check C8F19, C8F21, C8F22 and C8F27 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the FMT PCB.
If any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C).
thanks

WILL NOT TURN ON

Did you say you got it from an X friend? LOL Sorry, its not funny, It obviously didn't like being moved. Sounds like solder problem in the power supply somewhere, hunt round locally for a good shop. (probably a few hundred dollars to get fixed.)
