My new Hampton Bay window fan no longer works at the highest setting. It will work on settings 1 and 2 but will stop spinning when I set it to 3. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

I have a Hampton Bay AC. It is 18,000 BTU. It is 230 volts. The EER is 9.7 and it is 8.3 to 9 amps. When I use energy mode on the AC it blows warm air. What gives? Just cool mode and it blows cool.

Hi Paul,
  • Energy Saver Mode most likely shutdown the compressor and Fan Only will be running to recirculate Ambient air into the room.
  • Make sure there is no Port or Vent that is open on your unit and would let hot air from outside be mixed in with the ambient air especially if it is hot outside.
  • Also refer to the troubleshooting section of your owner's manual.
Good Luck,
JP

My haier AC doesn't blow air. The green light does

Try to turn blower fan by hand to see if it turns freely, Place fan on highest speed try to spin by hand on highest speed , if it works you may need a new capacitor for fan motor if not try and jumper fan switch to see if it runs .

I have a hampton bay remote that just stopped working. I have installed new batteries, have checked the code with another remote so I know the problem isn't the fan. The light on the remote does not...

If the light on the remote is not lighting when you push a button, check the batteries to make sure they are in the proper position. If one is turned the wrong way, the hand held will not work. You may also want to check the replacement batteries to make sure they are fully charged. If all this fails to solve the problem, you will need replace the hand held remote. Since Hampton Bay Fans are a house brand for Home Depot, they stock and sell replacement hand held remote controls.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi, Betty. Hampton Bay Ceiling fans are a house brand for Home Depot. They do sell replacement hand-held remotes, that can be programmed to match your fan. But, before you rush off to buy a new one, change the batteries in the remote first. There's a batteries in the handl held remote and some in the receiver, inside the fans cowling. Low batteries can cause what is happening with your fan.

Hope this helped you.

I have a Hampton Bay Cieling fan, model # FAN- DH L3H2003, and the remote control does not work. How can I get a replacement?

before you buy a new hand-held remote ... have you changed ALL the batteries. There's a set in the hand-held remote and batteries in the receiver, which is behind the fan's cowling. If you haven't changed them all, I'd do that before investing in a new remote control.

if you find, after changing all the batteries, you do need a new remote control, here is a link to one for all Hampton Bay Ceiling Fans.

We just bought a house with a beautifiul Hampton Bay ceiling fan, however the remote is missing. Consequently, we are unable to use the fan. Is there any way to determine if the fan is operational?

Try Home Depot. They sell Hampton Bay fans. They should have replacement remotes.
Here is one that Amazon sells. If you order oline, check to see if your model number is
what the remote will control. Also return policy of the seller if it doesnt work. May be easier
to go to Home Depot with a picture of the fan, or model number if you can locate it. Remember
that you will still have to figure out what settings to set the switches to that control the channel
the remote works on. It's do-able.

Seems like the remote doesn't work. Change the batteries. Verify the switch settings in the battery compartment match the setting of the switches on the very top of the fan itself. dd4540b.jpg

Hampton air conditioner. When I turn it on it blows out cold air but after about an hour the blowing stops.

Check your control setting if it is an electronic one. Check thermostat / thermistor. If the fan stops check the fan relay. Could be controller problem also. Take assistance from service provider.

I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan that is operated on a remote. The remote will no longer communicate with my fan. How do I get it back?

if the batteries are new in the remote and no one changed the dip switch settings in the fan or on the remote if available then it is possible you do not have power at the fan is a breaker tripped if not then it is possible the sensor unit or remote has gone bad this usually can be purchased at the hardware store you will need some electrical knowledge to install let me know if this helps
