Check it out if the photoshop you are going to install on your Vista OS is mainly for Vista or XP Pro. If its not, then change it from where you bought it.

How can I get photoshop elements 6 to work on my computer now that I have windows 7

The system requirements for Photoshop Element 6 shows to be compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista.
You may want to check with Adobe to see what os Photoshop Elements 6 supports., or to see if there is a patch or update.

You might also try out the XP mode in Windows 7 to see if you can get it installed and working.

Since upgrading to Vista and now windows 7 I cant

Start the "Program Compatibility Wizard".
Tell Vista that you want to install an 'XP' application.
Point the Wizard to the CD-ROM containing the software, and it will install.

Cannot install photoshop elements 6 in vista home edition

There is a problem with the auto-extractor.

Manually extract the files from the downloaded file using Winzip and extract to a new folder. Then run Setup.exe from that folder.

Also, make sure that your Temp folders have been cleared out.

The latest version of WinZip may be downloaded from http://www.winzip.com

New computer with windows vista

You do not say what problem you are having.

Before you plug in your Lexmark, you run the CD first and install drivers for Vista.

Photoshop does not work on vista

When Adobe began shipping Photoshop® Elements 5.0 and Adobe Premiere® Elements 3.0 software in September, final versions of Microsoft® Windows® Vista were not available to complete the testing required to ensure compatibility.
Shortly after Windows Vista becomes available to consumers, Adobe plans to release updates for Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 to provide compatibility with Windows Vista.
Updates for existing Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 owners will be available as a free download from adobe.com, and updated Vista-compatible versions of Photoshop Elements 5.0 and Premiere Elements 3.0 will become available in the same timeframe.

tnx 4 using fixya!!!

PhotoShop Elements 3.0

I already found a solution. I am not home at the money so I cannot tell you exactly what I did, but there was something under the system portion of Vista that I had to add PrintMaster to so that it would work. I am able to now use the program.
Thanks!

Lost my right as administrator

You have done big mistake that's why you are getting problem.

1)Regarding installation of win XP over windows vista.
You have to install first lower version and then higher version i.e. you should install first win xp and then windows vista. But vice-versa you can't do it.
So my suggestion is that format your c drive then install win XP
after installation win XP install win vista.

2) which operation system do you want to open .
You can remove it using windows tweak utility software wich is freely available on most of the website. Also you can manually edit it.
For manually do this.( i m not sure about windows vista it is available or not)
right click on my computer->click on Advanced Tab->setup and recovery framework click on settings->click on Edit button
You will see the boot.ini file. You can remove the windows XP line from that file.
