You need a new battery. One or more cells is defective. Obviously it's unsafe to continue using a battery pack if it gets hot enough to cause burns, so remove the pack from the computer. You can continue to use the computer on AC power until you get a replacement battery.

You might try contacting HP to see if there's any kind of warranty accommodation they can make. I've found several mentions in various forums about batteries in similar models going bad and that HP replaced them, but they were all within a year of purchase. Can't hurt to ask, though.

Register it again. Even trough you already did this, porting the software from its program files folder does not always works fine. Windows' register has these registration saved, and your new PC doesn't.

It may be coincidence but I presume you get the Bios menu as the laptop is loading asking you for either F2 or F12 if you wish to change your boot option. If not, plug your laptop into an external screen to check for a VGA processor errors.
I suspect the lamp driver ballast unit may have failed.

The HP DV6815nr has a High end processor I think it sould be around 2.0 ghz.
I run a TL-64 and it is a 2.2 ghz.
The problem is the heat transfer and the best thing you can do is, keep the unit well ventelated.
The 6815 is not very old and should still be within warranty.
HP has had alot of problems with the 6000 and 9000 units, related to heat.
HP has offered a extened 1 year on top of the 1 year warranty. This means, if you purchased this unit 1 1/2 years ago, it still has 6 months of warranty ava.
Do yourself a favor and contact HP customer care and they will send you a Pre-Paid box for shipping back to the factory of repairs, at no cost to you.
The turn around time is 7 working days.

ha ha no your not. You need to go to the main website for laptop which www.hp.com and go to help and support, then enter your laptops model and download the driver for the audio card they show you.

its an OS issue you just have to back up all the data you have and then go for an operationg systen reinstall

You need to format and install windows from a known good disk, of course you'll also need to obtain the drivers for the laptop as well.
I assume when you reformatted the hard drive, you didn't save the recovery partition?
If that's the case, you'll need to go to HP support for thew drivers.
