Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players
I have an emerson 2gb mp3 and was wondering if I could use my car charger for my motroloa razer to recharge the mp3, the ports are the same and my phone recharges from my laptop and the only cord that came with my mp3 uses usb port to recharge. If you can help I would be grateful. You can e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks Larry
If your mp3 player comes with a usb charge cord and has no bulge in the cord, such as would contain some kind of voltage modification electronics, then it's ok.
the reason is: both the motorola charger and the usb port are 5 volts, all usb is 5 volts standard, and the motorola charger is labeled 5 volts right on the unit itself.
The the only possible problem would be if the motorola charger was wired differently. However I have been using my razor charger to charge my Emerson 2GB mp3 player w/no problem.
Plug in the charger with the mp3 player powered up, you should see the battery icon filling up just as if you were using the usb charger.
if you are still to worried to try it , then get a voltage meter and test the polarity (weather positive and negative are the same on the motorola charger as the usb cord when plugged into the computer.
