Replacing the battery in a magellan maestro 4370

thats a fairly new unit and i doubt if the battery is shot already. it could be, but verify that is shot.

1st verify that its charging. hook up the home or car charger, then go into the main menu, then options, then power options and see if the battery indicator is moving left to right..if it is, its charging. if its not moving and shows a low battery, then its not charging.

if the meter is fully green and shouts off when unplugged form power, i would disconnect the battery then hook it back up and check the charging again

let me know if you still need to replace the battery and ill find you one and tell you how to replace it.

New battery and screen

you can take it to a cell phone repair and have it done. you can also probably buy the parts on ebay.com just go to ebay and do a search for Toshiba E570 LCD and Toshiba E570 battery
They should be readily available.
Also, if you go to youtube.com and search for
Toshiba E570 take apart you should find a video to guide you.

My Magellan maestro 3225 wont charge or start up

Same here - the problem, at least with mine, is that the power pin on the unit has become loose and not making contact with the machine - thus will not charge most likely from pluging and unplugging it in multiple times and breaking the connection inside the unit - FWIW, this GPS a real piece of **** and I have already replaced it with a Garmin- I'm trying to figure out how to take it apart to see if I can solder the power pin back in place but it is not as easy as removing the 4 back screws...

Tungsten T5 holding a charge

You basically "Arc Welded" your charging circuit in your PDA. Perform a hard reset By turning on your PDA with the soft reset on the back pushed. If this don't solve it.....yikes

Audiovox Maestro pda1032 Battery Issues

How old is it? - Just guessing that it's a couple years old, and your battery is shot. in this case you need to purchase a new one obviously. Also, there are battery monitor programs you could try out to see the status. A hard reset might help - it has been known to correct a "faulty" battery status. Hope this helps.

PocketPC e570, Is there an opportunity to set it back to factory default?

you could set back the e570 factory default very easily. On the left side of the pda you could find a small button, called RESET button. You have to do these following steps: The pda have to be turned off, then press the power button while pressing and holding the reset switch with the stylus, release the power button and when a screen appears, release the reset switch. But be careful, when you reset your pda all data will be lost and make sure that all storage cards are removed!!!

E570 with GPS and Navi

Personally I have not GPS on my PDA but there is no reason that it should not work properly. The only thing is that you should pay attention on several things. Check by software producer if the software is compatible to your PDA. Please also be careful which ports use GPS hardware because your PDA has no USB port just serial port. With another words check all this important things before you buy anything.
