It's on the T-con board itself at location Cp1 which you will find printed on the board itself.. The fuse is a tiny s/m (surface mount fuse but you can use a pico fuse of same value. According to schematics it's a 1.5a fuse. Simply solder one across the s/m fuse and if it opens then change the board. Samsung p/n# Bn81-01286a
To test the fuse use a VU meter set to continuity.
Pico fuses are readily available at almost any electronics supply outlet. I get mine from ACME Sales in Florida (least expensive) but even your local Radio Shack might sell them...

Philips 40pfl3705d/f7. Why is there no picture?

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced.

It could be a bad T-con, but it could also be a faulty LVDS (cable that connects the t-con to the main board), or you can have a main board fault. It sounds like your panel isn't getting power. The T-con board should be located top center on the backside of the set. It should be housed under a metal cover. BEWARE, some panel have the T-Con built into the LCD panel. If this is the case, you will have to replace the entire panel if the t-con is bad. Simply go to, and type in you actual TV model # in the search box. This will bring up all the parts available for your model. The results will also bring up pictures of the parts so you can see exactly what they look like.

LVDS cable from the T-CON
This seems like a problem with the T-CON board or it's connections. This is the low cost method to try.
If this set is under warranty you should return it to get it repaired/replaced by the seller. If not then;
This sounds like the T-CON board or the LVDS cable connection is bad. Turning on and off the set will cause the connection to heat and cool and not make good contact.
IF YOU KNOW HOW TO WORK WITH ELECTRONICS REPAIR(board replacing ) or have a friend with knowledge/skill you can fix it.

>Unplug the set and disconnect any cables.
>Lay on a flat surface covered with a cloth.

>Remove the back cover.
>The board is located near the middle of the set underneath metal shielding.
> Re-seat the cable by disconnecting and re-connecting the flat cable(s) connected to this board. See if the picture corrects.
You can try this several times.

If this does not correct the problem you may have to replace the T-CON board.
>Replace the shield and back cover.

You can search for replacement boards from places like, ebay and other sites.

The board will look something like this;

We hope you have an answer and solution to our problem. Our Bravia is nearly three years old. Was working well until a few weeks ago. The screen gets divided into four horizontal segments from right to...

Hi Andrew,
The failure with your LCD is with a defective T-Con also called LCD controller board but is some cases it could also be a defective screen. The cheaper way for the time being would be to replace the T-Con board and hopefully that should fix it. If after replacing the T-Con board the LCD still fails then the screen is way to expensive to replace, the cost of a new screen would cost the same as buiyng another LCD or more.
Check this link to find the T-con board.
This board is located in the upper middle part of the LCD cover with a metal shield.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Samsung LNS 4692 lcd tv t-con board

The fuse is located just upper right to the connector that attaches to the main board. This is a SMD pico fuse that is rated for 3 A @ 32 V DC that protects the Vin bus. Replacing the fuse may not fix the problem as it has most probably opened because of failure of another component.

Intermittent double images and horizontal lines

Hello mucci2k,
You have one of two problem.
(1) You have a loose connection on your LDS cable going from your signal board to your T-Con board. The T-Con board s the board that is mounted directly to the panel. Its sits near the top of the panel in the middle.

(2) You have a bad T-con board. This board cannot be repaired. It must be replaced. I can tell you where you can find it

Best regards
