Question about HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer
My HP Color LaserJet 2600n has been having printing problems lately. The magenta and blue cartridges were running low, so I replaced the cartridges, however, it never seemed to work right after that. Occasionally for black and white it would be ok, but then each page started having vertical magenta streaks on it and not all the color was coming out. So I replaced the remaining cartridges and still the same thing. Now, with the new black cartridge, the black won't print across the page and most pages other than the test page are covered with magenta. The black will only print about 1/4 of the way horizontally and fades out. Can you help me diagnose the problem or is this a job for the technician? If so, how do I find someone to service it?
This is caused by toner contamination in the laser scanner unit, it is quite a complex job removing and cleaning the laser scanner. I would suggest you contact HP regarding the repair.
