How do I use the calculator to make a graph, replace f(x) with y?

This calculator is not a graphing calculator; it won't be able to actually show you the graph but it can give you graphing points.

Hi,

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Good luck!

It is a calculator and prqactically every button is a MATH button. It
depends on what MATH you intend to do. Put the calculator in Run/Mat
screen then press the OPTN key. You will see several tabs. Press the
function key under a TAB and explore what is offered. Go through all the
keys (F6 also) and see what the new tabs do.

In general it is most helpful to read the manual that shipped with the calculator.

You didn't say which part of mathematics you want to study or what is you previous knowledge.

For algebra see these courses:

On The Open University you can find even more courses and on this site you can find links to a lot of online resources for algebra (lessons, tutorials, games, problems...).

For calculus I recommend:

And if you have questions or you don't understand something you can ask here.

I hope I helped you :)

It is always risky to try to answer a question about a calculator of an undisclosed model.

To be able to symbolic algebra (with variables), one needs a calculator with CAS (or Computer Algebra System). These types of calculators are special graphing calculators. ( Not all graphing calculators have a CAS.)

To get back to your question: No, you cannot do algebra with a mere scientific calculator even a recent one. All you can do is define an equation with variables A,B,C,D, Y and X and press the Solve button if it exists. The calculator will ask: Solve for X?. If you say yes, you will be prompted for the values of all letters (A,B,C,D, Y) in your equation and the calculator will search for the value of X, that makes the left side of your equation equal to the right side.

It will display the X-value and the difference L-R.

Hello,

There is a function to calculate them for you.

In CAS, or Algebra or Tutor Modes, use the x! option

In Run-Math, press [OPTN][F6] to pan right, then [F1] to access the (PROB) menu then enter option number corresponding to x!

The way it works is as follows

number ! [EXE].

Due to memory limitations, you can calculate factorials of numbers up to 69.

Hope it helps.

Hello,

Yes we can do algebra on thre TI83 Plus calculator, a lot of algebra, statistics, probabilities, graphing functions several ways, calculus(integral, differential). A lot.

If you have a particular question post it and someone will be happy to help you, and show you how to do it on your calculator.
