Question about IBM ThinkPad T40 2373 Notebook
Have a IBM ThinkPad T23. When powering on last night for some reason there was nothing showing on the screen. I have plugged my desktop monitor in to see if any errors showed but it booted up ok and everything proceeded to work without any issue.
When putting it into hibernate briefly on the Laptop screen you can see the image but its almost as if looking at a shadow, its very very dark, I have tried increasing the brightness using the fn keys but this made no difference.
Is there any key press that could have been done inadvertantly to cause this? Or does anyone hae any idea what to try next.
I have the same problem, I turn on the computer it beeps and the screen stays black. Last night the screen went white with black lines, but at least it went to the login screen now nothing but black
It sounds like your graphics card is shot. If your graphics card is a dedicated graphics card, you might be able to get it fixed/replaced; if it is embedded, then you are probably going to have to buy a whole new display screen.
