Question about HP Deskjet F4180 All-in-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP F4180 Printer not printing in correct colors.

I have an HP F4180 Deskjet All-in-one printer, and recently it has been printing in the wrong colors. It's usually the reds and greens that cause a problem. When something prints that is supposed to be red, it's more of a dark pink, or magenta. When it should be green, it's blue. I have tried changing the settings in the printer preferences, but nothing seems to work. I noticed this happening right after I changed the ink cartridges, so, thinking I got bad cartridges, I bought brand new ones and replaced them even before the others were empty. Any help would be appreciated.

I have EXACTLY the same problem. Very frustrating. The HP support pages don't seem to help.

Same problem. HP support offers no solution. My solution is never to buy an HP product again- all they want to do is sell their overpriced cartidges.

HP always recommend that ink cartridge should be replace by original ink.

As this kind of scenario will occur if the ink will just be replace by a refill ink.

HP Deskjet F4180 (all in one) will not print, printer says its ready but doesn't work.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Hp deskjet F4180 prints wrong colour blue header prints in magenta only, new inks installed, nozzles cleaned, test page prints ok

I had the same problem and the solution I found was to uninstall and then reinstall the printer driver. For some reason this worked. I now get the correct colors.

Has stopped printing but when i check i have a stack of stuff waiting to print why

I also recently had problems with my HP printer. I called the tollfree HP number, and was advised by the technician to try a "cold restart"'. This simply means to unplug the power cord and replug it , after a few seconds. It solved my printer's problems and I hope it works for you , too.
