You have to go to you computer's manufacturer site and search for the correct drivers for your particular laptop. You should find them on your computer manufatcurer's site. If you do not wish to do that, do the search through Windows Update.

My graphics card is not being recognized. Im using a ECS 945P-A Ver: 3.0 motherboard which has no on board video output. im using a Zotac Technology GEforce 7300 GT graphics card too. Do I need a powe

I don't believe that graphic cards of that level need PCI-EX power directly from the power supply (using a power supply cable with a PCI-EX connector). This is a good thing, but that's because this is a low-level card--one that likely needs nVidia legacy drivers: It's likely that active driver support has ended. (The same is true for legacy AMD/ATi cards--and other more ancient cards, as well. ((PCI or AGP) Sabre, 3DFX, etc.)

If you're using the VGA port--perhaps the card's DVI port is needed for initial install, instead--or vice-versa. (You'd need an adapter or different cord to run to a VGA monitor or TV's VGA port .)

Rarely, two VGA ports might exist on a card, instead. In any case, the port needed likely isn't the one connected (with a ribbon cable) to the PCB on the video card. (Once you get a workable video card driver installed, then you should be able to use either port.) Try all usable ports before finding another possible solution....

How can I find Acer Aspire 5742G STANDARD VGA GRAPHICS ADAPTER

It's actually software. It's a device driver for your onboard graphics card. Cut and copy the address below. After you download it, it should prompt you for an install. Hope it helps!

IBM intellistation Harware Malfunction Call Your Hardware Vendor

Try opening the case and removing any installed PCI cards one by one and testing whether the problem is still present after each card is removed.
If you have a built-in VGA adapter on the motherboard and a separate graphics card, then connect your monitor to the built-in adapter when removing the graphics card.
If the problem remains after all expansion cards are removed, then the fault most likely lays with the motherboard and you may need to buy and install a new one.
Depending on the age of the current motherboard, you may be able to re-use the existing processor and memory if you can get a replacement which takes the same types (processor socket type and memory standard (DDR, DDR2, DDR3 etc)).
If you go for an upgrade motherboard and processor, then you may also need to upgrade the power supply - check the minimum power requirements of the new motherboard against the power outlet capacity of your existing supply.

I have a 2000 dell computer with win98 oper sys. The current graphic driver that is in their is standard PCI Graphic adapter vga. I need graphic up grade driver for win98 can you help me? Thanks Phil

Access the manufacturer's web-site: http://support.dell.com
Enter the model-number of your Dell computer, and do the search.
See if the device-drivers for "video" for "Windows 98" are still available.

By the way, is it an add-in PCI video-card? If so, what manufacturer? What model?
Device-drivers are _very_ specific to the video hardware.

No network driver after reformatting the system.....window 7 ultimate....no PCI Simple Communication Controller....no Standard VGA Graphic Adapter.....

If this is the original operating system you can download the drivers at the hp support website.

Just type in your model number (can be found on a white sticker on the bottom of your laptop).
The pci simple communications controller is the phone modem.
And the vga graphic adapter is your video or video card.

Upgrade the existing graphics card. GEForce 4 MX440

Yes you can upgrade the card. For information regarding video card refer to website belwo

You can purchase teh AGP video card for the computer with higher memory.

Currently your video card is with 64Mb, try for 512MB or higher version. Do not go for PCI Express or PCI video card. The computer will support only AGP.
