Ours just started doing the same thing. It runs constantly and the blue light on the front is always on.

Water cooler fan will not shut off. Hamilton Beach 1 year warranty is a joke. Still fighting with them. They want the unit sent back to them in California from Ohio. Not worth the UPS charges!

I have the same problem and by the looks of it may other people do to. The unit just keeps cooling and cooling. The hot side works fine. I have tried draining the entire unit hot and cold sides. Left it unplugged for 24+ hours. Plugged in and turned on with no difference.

Mine also just runs and runs. It does cool the water, but I just turn off the switch because I am sure the electricity it exerts is astronomical!

SOURCE: Frig not cooling

The thermostat has become defective or it has lost freon or the compressor has failed.

Unless it is the thermostat, It may not be cost effective to repair so check the cost of a replacement.

SOURCE: Hamilton Beach 87330 water dispenser: no auto shut off

The model 87330 uses two solid state cooler modules (look like little radiators} and two fans, one for each cooler module When you have the unit on cool, make sure that both fans are running, if only one fan is runing the unit never gets cold enough to shut off. If one of the modules is bad its the same story. I took mine apart today, if it was just the little muffin fan I might consider the repair but if anything else is bad, I will junk it out. I disconnected the bad fan and the associated cooling module wires off the control board and am running half cool + hot water, I am not saying to do this, this is what I have done.

When empty of water remove the back panel and the cooling fins are most likely covered with an inch of dirt! Find an air compressor and blow out the dirt. It worked on mine!

Hamilton Beach 87330 hot water problem.

The two round "devices" on the tank are the operational thermostat, and the "safety" overtemp thermostat. It is usually the "operational" thermostat that fails, since it has to cycle a lot and arc internally. It is usually about 120-140 degrees F., and the safety thermostat significantly higher.

To resolve this problem, unplug the dispenser and let it sit for about 24 hours. I had this problem happen to me and I took the unit apart to find out the cause. I discovered that the the water cooling mechanism developed a big chunk of ice inside of it and it basically blocked the flow water. Allowing that ice to melt should resolve this problem. It did for us.

Hamilton Beach 87330 water cooler

Hello! About 2 weeks ago, the same problem began on my Hamilton Beach water dispenser.
Last week, I called the HB service support, and they told me to do the following reset procedure:

1. Dispense 3 cups from the HOT water side, and also, 3 cups from the COLD water side.
2. Turn BOTH back switches OFF (the ones on the back of the water dispenser).
3. Unplug the dispenser, and LEAVE it unplugged for 24 hours.
4. After 24 hours, turn the back switches ON and plug it in.
5. Leave it on for 4 hours WITHOUT dispensing any water.

...it's been about 12 hours since I've dispensed water again for the first time, and so far, SO GOOD! I'll update if the problems reappear.

No Cold Water

Sounds like the fans have stoped turning for the cooling system. If you cannot hear the fans turn on when you flip the COOL switch this is your problem. Pick the fans up at a computer parts store like Frys. Any other part failure on this unit other than a loose wire is not worth repairing.
