Question about HP PC Desktops
This sounds like more of a problem with the computer then with the monitor. The monitor is just responding the the signal.
What I have seen in the past, when I see the power save mode/blue/orage, is that the computer is having motherboard problems.
Since this is a brand new system, I suggest you call the place you got it from, and find out how soon they are going to be either giving you a new one, or how soon a tech is going to be on-site to fix the one you have.
If you got it through a retail store, call them first, but odds are, they will tell you to contact HP. But something worth checking. Depending on the store is how they handle return/replacement policy.
If you do have to call HP, have the computer information handy, they base everything on that (with Dell's, it the Service Tag, I don't know what HP uses).
1/2 of 1% of new computers are DOA, so this is not something completely unusual.
That's why they have warranties.
And with that said, the warranty will cover everything, except your time on the phone with them.
