There is a chip in the bottom of the image unit which stores the image unit life. These can be reset but it requires special hardware and software to do it. You can also buy replacement chips, they're usually about $50 for a 4 pack and you can find them on e-bay. Rechipping with out replacing the entire image unit will result in lower quality prints though.

SOURCE: Grainy image quality on my Phaser 7750

Try something, Send a job with 5 pages to it.
Shut the machine off as a page it halfway out of the exit area.. Open the machine and look at the jammed copies. Are they clear in the imaging unit areas but not upon exiting the machine?
If the image is clear around the drums and imaging unit, then the problem would be in the fuser. If the image is grainy and fuzzy in the image area, You could have a bad second BTR roller, the soft black roller on the left side door. One of the developer housings could be bad. You have to remove the imaging units and look in the opening with a flashlight to see if the developer housing brush is thick on the developer roll.
Could have a bad transfer belt or one of the color housings could be bad.
Less likely is a bad laser. But have you taken the wand that is on the front cover and cleaned the laser exposure slots?

SOURCE: Xerox phaser 7760 saying "non-phaser imaging unit"

There is a snippet on the Xerox website to solve imaging unit recognition problems, link below. http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-7760/downloads/engb.html?operatingSystem=winxp&fileLanguage=en_GB Usually this problem only occurs if the NVRAM has been reset or the engine board has been replaced without backing up the NVRAM. You can download the snippet to your printer through Centreware or by downloading the 'File Downloader' utility from the same page above.
Hope this helps.

I have xerox phaser 7750 by mistake i bought 7760 yellow toner shall install it to 7750

Not yet, check with the supplier and ask if it is compatible with the 7750, if not then exchange the 7760 for a 7750 yellow toner cartridge. Once you open the cartridge the supplier will not exchange.

Xerox Phaser 7750 The printer's black fades print after print and totally vanishes. I tried replacing Imaging Unit, Toner, cleaning by wand, etc.

If it is only happening in black then it has to be something prior to the toner reaching the transfer belt; such as toner, developer, imaging unit, or laser. It sounds like you've already cleaned the laser window, replaced the toner, and image unit, so I would inspect the developer. Remove the black image unit and use a flashlight to inspect how well toner is covering the magnetic roller on the developer. You may want to compare it to a developer of a working color to see if they look similar. Also, make sure there are no foreign objects near where the image units go. If an object came loose in there, the arm will not close correctly which could cause the image unit to not make contact with the developer. Hope this helps, and thanks for using Fixya.

How do you reset toner counter on phaser 7750? Thanks

On the back of the 7750 toner there is a metal piece you can push in near the end that goes in to the machine first, this will tell the printer that the toner you put in has not been installed until now. I would not suggest doing this unless the toner is full and is using geniune xerox 7750 toner.. If you refill it with generic or non-7750 toner it can damage the machine and will void any warrenty you may have left on the machine.
If you switch machines with the 7750 toner the machine will not know how much toner is remaining in that toner. Xerox changed this method on the 7760 to use a toner chip to fix this.
Hope this helps, thanks

This problem occurs when you buy the wrong image unit.
The contact chip that is located at the bottom of the orange plastic is not for the machine. Replace it with 7750 image unit and that should fix your problem. Black is fault 9-910 cyan fault : 9-911 magenta fault: 9-912 yellor 9-913.
