How & where can I get this part.Panasonic says they don't make them anymore.....why? I just paid 300.00 about a month ago for a new convergence and now that's down the drain because they don't make the part I need anymore. The sound was still there....but the pixels went haywire.

Re: D-Board Part # TNPA2033
They have been discontinued, but you can get your board remanufactured at the following link and it carries a full six month warranty. Just leave them a email with your model number and which board you need rebuilt.
Heres the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/

Tv making and have clicking sounds as tv shutdown as lights flashes?Yes.The board that call the Ballast board might be dying and dead soon. This Ballast board job responsible only are to ingnite the tv projection lamp only.
If it's a "knock-off" Chineese lamp, yes, it can make a difference. However, you may have a bad ballast as well, not an extremely expensive part, but you should check the voltage at the ballast. If you are proficient with a meter, I may be able to get the correct voltage reading from the MFG for you. If you need further help, post a reply/comment, and I will help you further.
We have the same exact problem with the same TV. We've only replaced the bulb once about a year ago. Don't know if it had anything to do with the fact that we now have a large yellow circle in the middle of our screen, which is about 7" round.
We only noticed the yellow mark about 4 months ago.
Hopefully someone will have a solution for us that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Paid $2100 for this set and are a little disappointed.
The convergence IC's are definitely bad. This is a big repair involving taking out the main board and soldering in two new IC's. They are not plug-in components and you would need a professional to do this job.
The problem is the computer in the TV is set to hold data for 2500 "On/Offs" Once you turn the TV on and off 2500 times, the dots start to appear as the computer cannot store anymore date. Call Panasonic, they will send a tech to your house for free and reset the computer and update it at the same time from 2500 to 1 million on/offs so it wont happen again. It takes maybe 10 mins to complete.
