I presume your phone is mms enabled, as not all phones can accept mms, if it is an mms phone, try ringing O2 and they can send data to your sim card to update it.

Create a new text message which includes text similar to "GPRS" or "Set GPRS."
Send the message to your network provider's phone number. This phone number can be found on your provider's website or in the instruction manual.
Turn your phone off and on again once your network provider has sent you a message to confirm that GPRS has been activated. It may take up to 24 hours before you receive this confirmation and a further 24 hours before GPRS is fully functional.
