Question about Hoover F6212-900 / F6215-900 SteamVac Agility Upright Vacuum

Split hose? My machine has stopped suction on the main unit. When I tilt the neck all the way back, the hose is split around its diameter. Is there a straightforward way to fix this AND where can I order th part?

I would love to know the answer to that question myself. I have the same problem.

When I lay the handle down the hose is cut in half. Therefore is I am not using the attatchment hose, and I am using the machine itself, the machine will not work because the hose is not connected

This piece is available but is very difficult to install. the upper handle needs to be split to reach the upper part of this hose. i would call the manufactuer and find a local warranty service center to get this part.

BAD SUCTION WHEN USING ATTACHMENTS

Bad suction often means a blockage somewhere, so check all the possible areas for blockage that relate to the hose. Also, check the hose for splits, as they often split at either of the ends - this would greatly affect the suction when using the hose and tools (and can sometimes only be spotted when the hose is stretched at the end points).

I have a Samsung 4320 vacuum cleaner which has started making a loud blowing noise as if the hose is split. I can't find a split in the hose and it isn't blocked. Also it isn't picking up very well. ...

Most vacuums have an air duct on the hose to adjust the amount of suction. If this becomes opened, you will hear the sound you've described and the suction will lessen. Check the wand and the hose and see if you notice a sliding piece that can be moved to enlarge or decrease an opening in the wand or hose. Use this to close the opening and your machine should work as it's supposed to.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Animal not picking up through main plate

Look underneath and you will see a short length of clear plastic hose with spiral wire reinforcing. Very often that hose splits (which allows air in and reduces suction around the brush roller) - you may need to get it off to inspect it thoroughly. To get it off, pull it off at the end closest to the motor and then unscrew it from the end near the brush. If it is split it will need replacing (a new one is not expensive, and it's false economy to try to tape over the old one - except as a very temporary measure).
If the hose is not split, look for a blockage somewhere.

Suction perfect when in upright position, but when tilted to actually clean there is total loss of suction - cannot see blockage anywhere. Thanks for your help.

If you are confident there are no blockages, look underneath, where the brush is, and you will see a short length of reinforced clear plastic hose. This often develops a split which results in loss of suction. You can pull the hose off at the motor end and then unscrew it from the brush end to examine it thoroughly. If you find a split, it's best not to try and tape it up (except as a very temporary measure) - a new one is not expensive.

Great suction through handle, no clogs anywhere,

OK - there are two obvious things to check: 1. Make sure the brush is rotating. The DC14 has a 'brush control system" operated by a knob on the base in front of the right side wheel. Make sure this hasn't accidentally been moved to the "off" position. With it in the "on" position, switch the machine on, tilt the handle back and check that the brush roll is rotating. If it isn't, then there's a broken belt or a problem with the clutch mechanism in the brush control system. 2. If the brush is rotating, switch the machine off (and unplug it), turn it over and you will see a short length of clear plastic hose with spiral reinforcing that runs from the brush area to the motor. That hose often develops a split (which lets air in and reduces suction around the brush). Take that hose off (pull it off from the motor end and then unscrew it from the brush end) and inspect it carefully for any damage. If it is damaged, get a new one - don't try and repair the old one, it's not worth it.
I hope this helps - if so, please remember to rate my response. If you need more help, just post a reply here and I'll see what more I can do. Good luck!

No water spraying, suction still working

I have a Bissell as well, and found that your issue sounds like there is a blockage in the hosing to the main cleaner part of your machine, The siphon action of the suction that your machine is obviously working in that you state that your accessories tubing is working. There is a split though in your unit. probably under the hood of the machine which splits the pressure between the accessories and the main unit. I highly suggest you look there to seek your blockage.
This unit works like a "straw" in a soda pop.. the unit makes a suction draw and that draw is directed to the main unit area and the accessory area, splitting from the main suction line..
Another suggestion though might be to be sure your accessory line is not "open" when you are trying to use your main unit.. you can test this by seeing it it squirts when you run your main unti as well.
Summary then is to check that there is no blockage after the "T" where the pressure seperates to the main squirter and the accessories.. This should be fairly obvious to see and a little cleaning should resolve this right up for you.
Hope that helps!

My hose suction works fine but the vacum itself will not **** anything up

On the underside of the machine you will see a short length of clear plastic tubing with spiral reinforcing. Often this gets split, allowing an air leak. If the split is bad, there will be almost no effective suction at the brushbar. If that's the problem, a new tube is simple to fit.

Hoover Agility, No Suction!!!

I had the same problem. Lower the handle to the floor and check the black spiral suction hose at the neck of the machine. The lower hose in my Hoover split. Check and see if yours has done the same thing. If so, the lower suction hose will have to be replaced. Hope this helps.
