"bluesocket" is whats causing this. the newest versions of Blazer (or the LD version) can't handle it. This also means that unless the Blazer install on the LD is very specific, any new Palm will have the same issue. One possibility is for us to try some other browser. I can report that Xiino gives an error of "too many redirects", so that browser may be right out.

My initial reaction is that that does not look like a network error at all... have you tried loading the page on a different network? Have you tried loading a different page on the campus network? Errors tend to percolate through the system in strange ways, and it is still possible that a network problem is causing this, but network errors tend to look like "no DNS server," "web site not found," etc.

When i try to sync i get a Fatal Alert MemoryMgr.c,Line:3751,Free handle?

To get rid of the Fatal Alert, perform the Hard Reset on the device.

Note:
A hard reset will erase everything on your device. All your data will be removed, and formats, preferences and other settings are restored to their factory default settings.

Follow the steps below to perform a hard reset on your device.

  1. Open your handheld.
  2. Press and hold the power button on the top panel of the handheld.
  3. While holding the power button, use the tip of your stylus or an unfolded paper clip (or similar object without a sharp tip) to gently press and release the reset button. (The reset button is the tiny hole labeled Reset on the back of the handheld.)
  4. Wait for the Palm Powered logo to appear; then release the power button.
  5. When prompted that you are about to erase all the data stored on your handheld, press Up to complete the hard reset.
  6. When prompted, complete the steps to align the screen.

Maybe some other program has modified the Notepad program. Back up all your files and do a hard reset. Still not work, call palm...

Fatal Alert problem

We prayed and asked God to save the data even though we had to do a hard reset. Data was preserved entirely! For this we give thanks--and praise.
