Same thing with my friend. I'm gonna open it up and check for loose connections and if not im gonna try getting an LCD back light. I will email answer to you. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you find problem first email me and vice versa :)
You either have a bad battery, or a bad power supply that charges the unit (power cord). If you have a friend that also has a PSP, try swapping out the battery to see if that works, and or try another power cord to see if the charging indicator light comes on. I think that possibly your battery is dead and the power cord might be bad. You can find good deals for both the battery and cord on ebay. Good luck!

Oh this had happened to me so many times! In fact i fixed a friends one like this this morning.
You need to:- re-install your custom firmware. (Pandora's battery and all that)
Then make sure your mem. stick is a pandoras one and start again tadah!
If you don't have custom firmware and would like it i can tell you (email@example.com)
