I dont now how to get my xbox360 to play xbox games

The XBOX360 requires a update file for each XBOX game to play on it. Not all games are supported. If your XBOX360 is connected to the internet it will automatically check for an update when a XBOX game is inserted. If your XBOX360 is not connected to the internet then you can burn a DVD or CD rom from a computer with the update files and insert the disc into the XBOX360 and update the files. Or you can load then to a USB jump drive and plug the jump drive to the USB port on the XBOX360 and update from that. The details are available from here http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/systemupdates.htm

And remember not all XBOX games will play on the XBOX360. Only ones with updated files. So if it does not play after the file update then it is not supported. Microsoft updates these files quarterly so check back once a month for more updates.

XBOX360 cant reconnize games

This can be caused by a dirty laser in the drive. Try cleaning the laser with a Q-tip and alcohol. If this does not fix the problem the laser may need to be replaced.
Contact Microsoft to see if the unit is still under warranty if the cleaning does not help.

If the unit is not under warranty, go to www.wiredextreme.com or call toll free 1-888-389-3038. We are a console repair company based in Texas and we can clean/replace the laser for you. All of our repairs come with a 90 day warranty that covers the entire console, not only our repairs. We also offer extended warranties for up to 4 years at additional cost.

I put in a disc. it says reading then goes back to open tray. Help me.

Hello,

The most common reason for the Console saying reading discs is a bad drive. The following website sells the drives and does installs:

store.richspsxparts.com/wiiredvddr

This drive should fix any reading issues you are having with your games, or issues inserting your games or ejecting them (or lack thereof). This is the entire DVD drive assembly mechanism replacement for your Console including a new laser. If your discs are not ejecting, or you cannot insert a disc -- or you can insert a disc but it will not load, this is what you need to get your Console going again!

Hope it works...

My xbox360 reads dvds but not games. when i put a game in, it goes to a white screen with the xbox logo

This error is caused by not having the original DVD drive in your 360. Only a professional can change your DVD drive successfully. You will need the original DVD drive to fix this problem. Without the original drive your Xbox won't be playing disc based games again. A skilled professional with the original DVD drive should be able to fix your problem.

All dvd drives in an xbox360 are married to the motherboard. The new dvd drive needs to be flashed with the bin from the old drive in order for it to play games. We can do this for you if your interested email us xbox360fixer@verizon.net

No games will play

You xbox 360's dvd drive is damaged. If you just purchased it return it. If you are out of the return window you'll need to contact microsoft and see if it's still under warranty.

There's really no other way around this problem, you must get the drive replaced.
