Question about Magellan GPS
Well, the good news is...you bought a magellan. So you get free updates. Garmin, and others charge upwards of $79-100 to get an update. As long as the routes you take dont change too much, or have any areas missing on your maps you should be fine.
On the other hand, If you live near a lot of new consrtuction, and/or are traveling out of town frequently, I would recommend the free upgrade you get with magellan, just in case of any new roads or changes in places you have never been before.
Hope this helps,
p.s. Sites like www.poifactory.com give great FREE updated and often user made POI's (points of interest) for your GPS which the other company made updates dont include.
i.e. on a recent long trip - I downloaded custom POI's for:
Weird Tourist stops
and National Parks
all available free from www.poifactory.com for most GPS's

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
