If the reset method does not help you.then its the problem of faulty ic in the capacitor which is not supporting completely to the board to keep the tv ON.so you have to get replaced that --ic-- on the power supply board.it will not cost u much as the tv starts for a moment then shuts .it will be not more then the service charge.please do not try without perfect knowledge.as it may damage the board.your tv is perfectly all right.nothing to worry just get changed the --ic-- and it will work.

pls do rate the solution

thanks.
regards.

Have you unplugged the unit and let set for a while? have you tried to rest it with the master reset?..if that has not worked you have a power supply issue to your main board. do you have audio? if you do you have a convergance issue. i suggest checking these first. if you can't get either the unit to reset then a service tech should be contacted. start with the simple fixes likie does the unit turn on with the remote or the button on the unit or not at all. if these suggestions don't work your best bet is to either have it repaired or take it back if it is under warrenty.

It can be a problem with the CRT lamp. Probably you need to replace the lamp.

First: your FLM-373B Polaroid TV is not a rear projection, therefore there is no lamp building the image, the only lamp in your tv is the LCD panel rear lamp. Therefore there is no lamp involved in this fault.

The "faulty ic in the capacitor" described from the Techexpert here, does not make any sense, there is no "ic in the capacitor", not in any electronic device on earth.

The fault is a problem on one of the pcb boards inside the TV, you have 12 boards or so inside your TV with several thousend components

Here ypu get the part list with all parts for your TV set

Polaroid Replacement TV Parts, Modules & AccessoriesThe technician willo start by testing the power adapter, then testing the internal components.

If your TV is less than one year old is still covered with factory guaranty.

If you need service call the number listed at the end of the user manual.

Phillips tv no pic no sound just flashing light

Its not going to be a do it yourself repair--likely a bad board or even boards--have a repair center (authorized for this brand) inspect it.

Just getting a set like this apart safely is tricky.

Buzzing sound coming from TV Speakers and any external speakers

Your model has all the audio and video circuits that are all within the Control Box unit which has to be replaced as a unit. You can get one at the following link. You would have to leave them a email as they dont list the polaroid Control boxes, But I know they have one for your model. Just click on the " contact Us" link and let them know the model number they respond quickly.

Toshiba TP43H95 projection tv has power but no picture

If it shuts off and then the power light starts blinking red or it never comes on but the power light just blinks red continuously that is usually indicative of the convergence ICs (STK 392-110). You never want to replace the ICs without also replacing the resistors that are associated with them. There are usually 6 resistors, one for each of the colors and there corresponding direction, IE Red horizontal, red vertical, blue horizontal, ect. In the case of this model tv all of the resistors are 2.2 Ohm and 2watts. You will find them right where the STK 392-110 ICs are. Right in front of them. They are blue and have this color code on them. Red, red, gold, gold. These are represented by stripes on the resistors. You can get the parts from www.bdent.com They carry the ICs and the resistors. If you do not feel comfortable completing this repair I could do it for you if you send me the board. My email address is: missionelectronics@sbcglobal.net The cost is 375.00 and that includes parts.
Good Luck.

Same problem here. Polaroid Tech Support says that it is the control box.

It is a little over a year old so it is out of warranty with Polaroid.

Except, I bought the two year plan when I bought it at Walmart. So I called them and they are sending me a box and a shipping label to mail it back for repair. I tried to tell tham that is a little big to mail but they insist. This should be fun.

No picture blinking stand by light

I hve worked on a number of these units , your description is typical of a shorted blue picture tube. The protection circuits in the tv detect that there is a problem thus shutting the unit down to prevent further damage. Sony had a bad run of picture tubes in this series. The replacement cost of the tube is about $250 plus labor. My estimate would be for the repair about $400-500 depending on where you live and how honest your local technican is. I will caution you however, that you could replace this tube and the red or green could go. These would not be covered by the technicians warranty. When these sets are working, they have a superb picture and it is easy to get lured into fixing them. Scrivitron
