If all you need is some simple advice, you can follow this link for simple washer installation tips:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r389335-basic_washer_installation_tips

Now if you are looking for specific advice, and you do not have an instruction manual for your washer, geappliances.com is a great web site for you to obtain one. Just click on the "Appliance Service" link on the left hand side of the page and look for the link "Use and Care Manuals" on the following page. Just type in your model number and there are operator and installation manuals available that you can download. I hope you find this information helpful.

My new Ge washer is making loud and vibrating noises while spinning. the washer does not seem to be off balance.

Who installed this? Sounds like they didnt remove the shipping rod located on back of machine. If so, refer to instruction manual for how to remove rod. Usually just pulls out.

How do I hook up washer drain pipe?

You'll need to seek the advice of a home repair or appliance repair - as your description of your connectors is vague.

They likely have the appropriate adapters.

Ginding noise during agitation

From the GE site.....

Front load washers and some compact model washers do not come with a shipping rod. According to the Installation Instructions for these machines there are 4 bolts, 4 yellow plastic spacers, and 4 metal "p" clamps that need to be saved and reinstalled before moving the washer to prevent any damage to the machine.

Ge washer motor

You ;listed it as an Amana, but said it is a GE. I will give you direcions for a GE. If its not, let me know. First, be sure the unit is unplugged and water line is off. Underneith the motor, down right above the belt, you will see 4 nuts that hold the motor to the mounting plate. Remove these nuts, then slide the belt off. Lift the motor slightly, then aim the top of the motor back towards the middle of the unit. Keep tilting and moving the motor backwards until the clutch clears the mounting plate. Slide the motor now towards you and remove. Replace motor following any new instructions that come in the package. Good luck, and let me know if you need further instructions.
