assure there is no paper in paper path. torn pieces, etc.
there is a exit sensor in the fuser assy(hot section at exit) there are paper seps. at the roller - dont damage the roller. check to see if actuator is block / broken.
Look on the right side of the control panel, just in front of the display contrast slider adjustment, and you will see a small hole. Using a paper clip or similar pointy instrument, press the pushbutton switch in that hole.
The machine will go into warmup mode. When you see a small dot centered on the left side of the touchscreen display, press "3" on the keypad. This will take you to the initial mode screen, where you will see "Trouble Reset" on the touchscreen. Press it.
If the C0500 code comes back in about 60 seconds, it means that you do indeed actually have a problem with the heater lamp not coming on, possibly a blown lamp or thermal fuse.
