HP 1317 I am getting an ongoing error message. The manual says to replace the cartridges and I have done so with both of them but am still getting the message. Can anyone suggest anything else?

I have a PSC 1610 All-in-One and it will not print. I am getting the message "Remove and check color cartridge". I have removed it and cleaned the sensor. That did not help. Anyone have a fix for this issue?

I have an ongoing problem with my HP Officejet 6500 wireless printer. Everytime I need to change the three color cartridges, I get the same error message: "The following ink cartridges appear to be...

This normally happens when the "window" on the ink cartridge is dirty. It may not even appear to be dirty, which is hard to tell, because it is a cloudy and dark gray color, but it still needs cleaning.

The manual (at least on 6500) says to clean the little "window" on the cartridge. For some reason this needs to be done even though it is new and you receive the message.

If cleaning with a normal cloth does not work, try cleaning it with some rubbing alcohol as well as this usually does the trick.

This has unfortunately been a common problem with the HP6500 printers.

2600n all 4 cartridges are locked and the printer saying replace supply error

If cartridges are fine, you can Override the Replace Supplies Message. Follow the instructions given below from (Page 146) of HP 2605dn Manual

I have done it myself and it works fine. Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.

Good Luck!

Keep getting replace yellow ink cartridge error message

Hi,

Where did you get the error message on printer or computer?

If you get the message on printer remove all cartridges and reinsert the cartridges and align the ink cartridges. If the alignment page prints successfully then the problem is resolved.

If you get the message on the computer disconnect the usb from computer. uninstall the software and reinstall the full feature software by selecting connect USB later.

  1. Open the printer
  2. Remove the cartridge
  3. Make sure there is nothing obstructing the copper from connecting to the contacts in the plastic housing.
  4. Try cleaning the bottom of the contacts with a damp/dry rag (not wet) or an alcohol soaked swab.
  5. Also clean the base of the housing the cartridge sits in the same way.
  6. Reinsert the cartridges making sure they click into place.
