Question about Intel Motherboard

Gigabyte GA-71X motherboard

I need assistance in connecting up various PC switches and LED`s to the motherboard, (not floppy, IDE, CD, power plugs, etc).
I have tried unsuccessfully several times to download the manual off the Gigabyte site.
Hope you can help.

    Tks Lou

In fact that is exactly what I did 12 hours earlier, and all the required info was in the downloaded manual.

I had tried earlier on all the Gigabyte download sites, without success. Waiting till evening, UK time, probably meant the comms traffic was less, and certainly the Russian site did a hi speed download.

Hope I can help you some time.

    Regards

    Cy

Try this link. It is a Russian download site but the manual is in English.

I need the front panel connections location, which ones go where for the ga-73pvm-s2h motherboard

Gigabyte has the manual for the GA-73PVM-S2H on the product support site: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2691#manual . The full manual is near the bottom of the list. The direct link to the English version of the manual is http://download1.gigabyte.us/Files/Manual/motherboard_manual_ga-73pvm-s2h_e.pdf . The Motherboard Installation Guide at the top of the list is a generic manual for all motherboards.

The front panel connections are shown on page 28 of the manual. There are two lines of pins. From left to right, the inside line of pins are the Power LED +, Power LED -, Power Switch +, Power Switch -, then the Case Speaker +, Case Speaker -. (The speaker - is next to a Case Fan connector; so there are a couple of blank spots between the speaker + and - pins.) On the line of pins at the edge of the board, again from left to right: HD LED +, HD LED -, Reset Switch -, Reset Switch + . There is no contact on the last pin in this group.

I hope this helps.

How do you connect IDE device to GA-Z87X-UD4H

This particular motherboard does not provide IDE connections for external devices. The safest option would be to use an IDE expansion card that will plug into the PCI bus and provide normal IDE connections for your devices.
A quick search to google for "ide expansion card" will provide many good results.

Hello my gigabyte ga-8i865gvmk motherboard not giving signal to moniter can anyone help me

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((motherboard to your hard drive))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it or you might have a dirty graphics card remove the graphics card and clean the socket
hope this helps

Connecting hdd led lead and power led lead, where do they go ?

Hi, There are 3 versions of this motherboard; 1.0, 2.0 & 3.3, but the layout is identical. The general layout is shown in pins.jpg. For the power led, the white wire goes to the (-) terminal either pin 2 or 3, both are MPD- while the green goes to the ( ) or pin 1 (MPD ) as shown in powerled.jpg HDDpins.jpg shows the connection of HDD led, the white goes to pin 3 or HD- while the red goes to pin 1 or the HDD . I cropped these images from the manual which is also available at the gigabyte website. Hope this gives you some ideas and workout of you. Good luck and pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.
