Digital Camera and Film Scanner repair: If you are experiencing a problem with a Konica Minolta, Minolta, or Konica brand digital product, please send this item to: Konica Minolta Photo Imaging U.S.A, Inc. Camera Division Attn: Digital Repair 725 Darlington Avenue Mahwah, NJ 07430 When sending in a digital product for service regarding an image quality issue please include a sample image or scan. For scanners also include the actual slide or negative you are trying to scan. This will help our technicians verify and correct any anomalies. Please pack your product in the following way: Place the product in a sealed plastic bag. (Please do not use tape to seal the bag.) Place the bagged product inside a sturdy corrugated cardboard box. Place enough dry packing material around the bagged prodcut to make sure it does not travel within the box during shipment. The best material to use is foam packing "peanuts." You can also use popcorn. Please include a detailed description of the problem(s) you are experiencing. If this item is under warranty, please include photocopies of your dated sales slip and Warranty Card. (If we are unable to verify your proof of purchase, we may have to treat the services as an out of warranty repair, in which case you will receive a written estimate for your approval before we proceed.) Remember: Konica Minolta will not assume the responsibility for damage encountered in transit and will institute charges for any repairs required. In fact, such damage specifically voids any warranty otherwise in force. Please submit a troubleshooting Interactive Q&A detailing the problem that you are experiencing for assistance and further instructions on repairing your digital product.

How can I convert my 8mm tapes to a digital format and save to my hard drive?

If you have DVD Recorder then hook your Video-8 camera in analog AV input and burn a DVD, this will convert analog video/ audio signal of camcorder in digital format and transfer the data on DVD as well. Put that dvd in computer and save it in computer.

Shutter permanently open and zoomed. will not close in even without battery. tried new batteries, no change

It needs factory repair - find another used camera or buy a new digital. That camera is not worth spending the money on to repair.

Photography.

Your question is unclear, but if you're asking how to take photographs on a non-digital film camera in order to edit them digitally then you'll need a film scanner (avoid cheap ones) or a flatbed scanner with film scanning abilities.

I've reverted to film from unreliable and over complicated digital cameras and scan all my negatives and transparencies using an Epson Perfection 4870 Photo scanner. They're nearly as good as the latest model but only cost around £100 for a used example in perfect condition with all original accessories.

MY CAMERA WILL NOT DO ANYTHING

If the camera will not allow the manual rewind function to work then the camera needs to come apart to get the film out. To do this and save the film it will have to be disassembled in an IR box (a special light tight box fitted with an Infrared camera so a tech can disassemble the camera without exposing the film. Many camera repair shops have the ability to do this.

No film advance.

Hello drummer 37,   As I recall, this was a peculiar problem with all 35mm film cameras. Your canera could have; a bad battery or batteries, a short to the film advance motor, or corrosion, or bad gears to the film advance motors, or end of film, etc. You would need to open your camera in a darkroom bag and remove any film inside. If no film inside the camera, then do a circuit check from batteries to every electronic component and motor using battery power or bench check the camera's motors by bypassing the batteries with an AC/DC benchtop power supply. Wow - really expensive and time-consuming = complete stripdown and repair. Depending on the camera make, it would be your decision whether to compare repair price to camera value. If it is no longer in production meaning parts need to be cannabalized from another old non-working camera, the cost of repair would exceed the value of the camera. Look for another good used model or move on to a digital SLR camera as your tool.
