Can be due to fault in the line output section , possible short in the EHT or there is no horizontal drive.
Need to check the +B voltage and also the sync from the IC.

Panasonic TH58PX60U TV comes on for 5 to 15 minuets and shuts down with 4 red flashes on trouble code light. Is this the power supply board?

4 blinks Power SOS P Board
Try opening it first look for some bad connections or so if they are none use a hair drier and heat the board looking for the place that creates the 4 blinking then use the hair drier on cool to cool the place and get this time little longer.

Hello

Blinking of standby light in Sony TVs are fault indications. You just count the exact number of blinks occurs at a time after switch it ON. Switch it ON and OFF by its front panel power switch, and not by the remote control handset. Do this for at least four times, count the number of blinks, confirm and inform me. I can then locate the fault section of your Tv, seometimes even to the exact point of fault too. OK

Power goes off and red light blinks.... won't turn back on unless you unplug for awhile... then it will work for a bit and then shut off and blink red again. it blinks repeatedly...not three times, not...

Hello
There is some loose or bad solderings inside your TVs circuit board. It is in the horizontal section, otherwise known as horizontal sweep section. Due this fault, horizontal output transformer, otherwise known as Line Output Transformer [LOT] won't work properly. If LOT must work properly, its drive stage must also be ok. It is common for philips tvs that solderings on this section gets loose contacted. Most of the components in this section will heatup while working. Due to repeated heating and coolng will make the solder joints to get loose. It is very difficult to locate the exact loose point, because they are very minute to see with naked eyes.
Open your tv, and get the horizontal board, the board which LOT is fitted, turn it upside down and resloder all the suspected points by applying a little more solder, whthout shorting nearby solder points. You must have a concept of soldering in this process.
You can check whether the LOT is working, without opening your TV. Place your forearm just parellel to the face of the picture tube, at about one centimeter away from it, and switch on your tv with its front panel power switch. If LOT is working, extra high tension voltage will be present inside the picture tube, which will attract the hairs of your forearm. In your TVs case, this effect will be there for the first time, but it will dimnish atonce.
There will be no components to be replaced, do what I said earlier, with concentration. Ok

TV does not turn on. Stand By LED blinks 4 times and pauses and blinks 4 times again Tv will not turn on...when plugged in the red stand by light flashes 4 times...you can hear the tv turn on but a black...

On older Sony, sometimes a power surge causes the set to be in shut down mode. Try unplugging for 5 minutes and then plug in and try. This many times will fix.

Sony KDL-46V3000 Bravia LCD Black screen

It's not to complicated, in the newer TVs as well as other things, when you first turn them on the diagnostic circuits kick in [that the first relay you hear click] it sends a signal (low voltage) to all the circuits to check them and make sure there are no problems. If it gets the proper returns from each circuit it kicks out and the full power relay kicks in and powers your set up. This is done to protect others circuits that might be effected by a flaw in a different circuit. What started as a small flaw in a component has gotten worse with use which is normal. Your set is kicking the diagnostic circuits and they are detecting the problem and shutting it down. You have problems with your power board, if the diagnostics circuits were not in place and full power hit the set the power board could possibly put triple or more voltage to some section of another board, thus burning it out also. That's why they started using the diagnostic circuits on TVs, Computers have had them for years. Late model car - etc. I would take the power board out of it and go to shop Jimmy's and enter the part # which will be on the board and order me another one and pop it in and kick back and watch TV again. I don't know what a power board would cost for it but "shopjimmy's" carries high quality boards at a reasonable price. I do caution you on buying a refurbished board, they are tempting but I have never and I mean never seen one hold up very long. As a matter of fact I will not put one into a TV or anything else for that matter. So there is light at the end of the tunnel and it's not the train this time! I only work on the kind of TV that plug into the wall or run on batteries, therefore, I've seen a bunch of them in14 years. Don't worry about getting the wires mixed up because one thing about TVs is a harness or plug will only fit one place and that is where it belogs you can't cross them up.

Sony KV-27S42

If the screen won't come on then the diagnostic will never show. The 4 blinks is an error code. If the set is older than 12 years then it doesn't owe you anything, you got your money's worth out of it. Average life of any tv from that genre is 8-12 years. It's time for a new set, or take it in for an expensive repair ( pending parts availability).

GE Model #25GT511 Power on, no picture or sound

The question I have is if the tv stays on but with no pix or sound,we have a way to check,if you place your forearm in the face of the picture tube and the hair in your arm stands up it means you have the high voltage needed to light up the tube but something else is missing like the screen voltage or it has a loose conection in the crt board,if the hair in your arm does not react to static then we are missing the high voltage and the problem might be more involved and related to the horizontal circuit not creating the high voltage needed. If you are familiar with tv service you have a few places to check but if you are not to familiar play it safe and call for assistance from a professional servicer.Let Us know how it goes please.

Sony KV-27S42 not on but timer flashes

The blinking light means almost 100% that the high voltage circuit has failed. Probably need a new horizontal output transistor and flyback. Perhaps an associated resistor or diode. If you have the expertise go for it, otherwise take it to a professional. In any case be extremely careful and safe. Good luck.
