Hi bpariz2,

To reload Skype on your computer just go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/windows/

When you complete the download for Skype please install the program.

After installing Skype you can now run the program by double clicking the icon that was created, or go to your "All Programs" folder under START.

It will prompt you to create a new log in, but there is a small button that says "I Already Have An Account" Click that to allow yourself to log into your old account.

Cheers,
Garbanian

My password and username

If it's been awhile since you used Skype to communicate with friends abroad or family back home, you might draw a big blank when it's time to type in your Skype username.

Skype requires a username and password from users to log in to the service.
You choose this username and password when you register for a Skype account.

By using Skype's recovery options and the email address used to register the account, you can retrieve your Skype username with ease.

Navigate to the Skype homepage online at skype.com.
Click "Sign In."

Click "Forgotten your Skype Name?" under the Skype Name entry box.

Type the email address you used to register the account in the box that appears. Click "Get Skype Name."

Skype will email you a link to that address to recover your username. Click on the link inside the email sent by Skype.

A page will open displaying your username.
Change your password in three easy steps.

This helps to keep your new password secure.
Fill in your email address below.

We'll email you a temporary code.
Use the code to change your password on our secure website.

I want to creat new skype id

I got your answer from: https://support.skype.com/en-us/faq/FA829/How-can-I-run-two-Skype-accounts-on-the-same-computer

In order to use more than one Skype account on the same computer at the same time you need to start a new instance of Skype:
  1. From the Windows taskbar, click Start > Run (or press the Windows and R keys on your keyboard at the same time)
  2. In the Run window, enter the following command (include the quotes) and press OK:
"C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary

If you get any error messages, please copy and paste the exact command from this email and try again.

Please keep in mind that if you have changed the installation path for Skype then you need to enter the correct path for the Skype.exe file.

If this solution fails, you can try another option:
  1. Find the Skype executable file (Skype.exe) in: C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\
  2. Right click on it and choose: Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)
  3. Locate the shortcut on the desktop, then right-click on it and choose Properties
  4. In the Target field, add: /secondary. The Target field should now be: "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary
  5. Click OK. You can now start a new instance of Skype every time you double-click on the new shortcut.
For Skype 3.8 and earlier Requirements: Windows XP, Two Skype User accounts

First, create a new Windows user by going to the Control Panel and clicking on User Accounts. Choose Create a new account and follow the steps to set permissions. We also suggest setting a password for the new user by clicking on the newly created user and choosing the Set Password option. The new user will also require admin rights on your PC.

Next, create a shortcut to Skype or make a copy of the shortcut that is already in the Start menu. Right-click this new shortcut and choose Properties. On the bottom of the first page there is a button labelled Advanced... . Click this button and select Run with different credentials. Select OK, and then select OK again to close the Properties dialog.

You're all set. Whenever you use this new shortcut it will ask for a Windows username and password. Enter the Skype Name and password of the user you created earlier by choosing The following user: option. Click OK and you'll have a second instance of Skype. It will require that you sign in with your Skype Name and password the first time.

To help automate the Run as trick you can create a second desktop icon for Skype and modify its properties. Click the Advanced button and check the box Run with different credentials. After clicking on the modified icon it will ask you to sign in as another user. Changing the icon graphic also helps ensure you click on the correct icon.

If you have multiple USB headsets or USB Phones you should be able to set up both instances of Skype to use a different sound device.

I have Skype installed on my computer in Montreal, QC. Can I install Skype on my other computer in my country home with the same username and same password? I only skype with my daughter in Australia.

Skype can be installed on as many computers as you like.
Your user-name and log in are specific to you NOT the computer.
It doesn't matter who you are calling or where they are - it's you sitting in front of which-ever computer you happen to be sitting in front of at the time that is using your user-name and password.
The important thing is that you must not be logged in of more than one computer at a time. So make sure that when you go to the country that your Montreal computer is OFF

I can't log into skype. I keep getting Disk I/O error message.

You need to delete the folder that holds your account information for Skype.
I can be found in: C:\Documents and Settings\<winuser>\Application Data\Skype\<skypename> for XP or, C:\Users\<winuser>\AppData\Roaming\Skype\<skypename> for Vista

I just deleted any user account folder I saw, reopened, logged in...worked fine.
