Question about Bauknecht Dishwashers

3 Answers

Bauknecht GSX 4756w when I switch it on and set the dial to the wash setting, I close the door and it sounds as though it is about to start but after 30 secs just starts beeping. When I open it the cycle setting is always reset to rinse. Can't get it to switch on at all.

My dishwasher will not start: Most common d/w power is 120 volts, check for 120 volts with a volt meter at the main power harness where it enters into the dishwasher, you will have to remove the lower access panels to get to the power box. Dishwashers also have at least one and most newer dishwashers have two door switches that must be checked. You will find then behind the console at the door latch area. Each manufacture has different designs but this is a picture of what some of the newer dishwasher switches look like.

How long have you owned the unit? Are you able to repair this yourself at all or troubleshoot?
Thanks,
Lee

I would recommend a professional to come and fix the unit unless you have technical ability. I can assist you in finding service if I know your location.
    Thanks,

How do I dry only

When using the WD-1000 as a Dryer only, are you turning the rightmost knob Clockwise to the correct starting point?
Looking at the periphery of the knob, at the bottom, see the elongated "sausage" shape, outlined in blue? Turn the knob so it passes "Stop", and points there.
At the end of a completed Wash Cycle, that is where the pointer will be pointing. Once there, the machine switches automatically to Dryer Mode.
As long as the middle dial is set to a timer length greater than zero, the drying begins. I recommend turning the middle dial to somewhere around 2:00 o'clock, which corresponds to about 90 minutes if I remember correctly.
(You'll notice that is in the "Orange" area, meaning Full Heat - which is always fine because it never gets too hot anyway)

So, turn right dial to point to the "white sausage" at the bottom of the dial; Turn middle dial to 90 mins, or so; (Left dial only controls "Spin" speed - just set to max); and close the door. (It should begin drying)

Kenmore dishwasher will not start

The most probable cause is the door latch (or switches in the latch) are not working right, and the controller thinks the door is open, even though it is closed.

Close door push start and it says door

Possible that the door safety switch is not contacting and is defective. Remove power and check from inside the unit for the continuity of the door switch.
If open it can be shorted for a trial run to confirm and then replaced.

Maytag dryer waont start when you push start button

Try opening and closing the door a few times it might be the door interlock switch, Are your plugs fused like in the UK. If so check fuse, or there will be a safety fuse inside the dryer which has blown in which case it will have to be examined by a qualified repairer.

LOADED MY BOSCH CLASSIXX 6 1400 EXPRESS CLOSED THE DOOR THEN TRIED TO PUT IT ON A PROGRAMME AND IT CAME UP -0- AND IT WOULD NOT START NO TIMES WAS COMING UP WHEN I TURNED THE DIAL ONTO A PROGRAMME.PRESSED...

this sounds like a door lock issue if the machine does not detect the door has closed properly you will get the same symptoms, try slamming the door shut (not too hard) if machine starts but then does the same thing next time you use it will need new lock it will have gone out of calibration.
