You can try to re-initialize the camera. That worked for about 2 months until mine acted up again and I had to send it back to Sony for the $171 repair. Their service was lightning fast.

Some of ALPHA DLSR are prone to have such problems on antishake mechanicsm. I stucks and fails. You start to see a black line or twisted view instead to correct image seen on optical visor. You either need somebody to service it or you need to remove ccd board and fix the shaking mechanism by trial and error. Fixing means really fixing it to surface that it wont move anymore. Since this will allow framing corect you will loose anti shake function. though situation. Check the link. you are not alone.

Like me Old technology..from tubes transistors to opamps to digital IC from adding machines to calculators.
Handycams of the 90s Pinnacle Studio 8 or better that has a capture card is A/V adaptive RGB and it is SVIDEO adaptive. Pinnacle also has or had a firewire adaptor and it was the capture card you need for this! No Sony no software at the time came with the Sony Handicam it was to early in the technological stage.
Do not break your arse trying to find on divert your attention to the capture card area.

Blurry photos, delay in capture

These Sony cameras including T70, T100, T200, T300 all have the same problem. There is a little black circular plastic piece in the lens that comes off the place where it is supposed to be. The piece moves around inside the lens and the focusing element can't freely move under the pull of the spring and the lens can't focus anymore. This happens after a good shake. Lens may stop focusing if dust gets in the focusing elements gear. This happens often if you put your camera in a dusty pocket, bag, purse etc.

Sony cyber shot wont take photos error keeps appesring

I have a Sony F717. I had the C:13:01 (?) something like that error and believe it or not, shaking the camera clears it. I also had a memory stick error and a light tap lens down on a table cleared that one. It's about 7 years old and still takes great pictures, it's just a little temperamental.

i have the same exact problem with mine. it's two and a half years old as well. i also noticed that if you try taking pictures in any of the best shot modes the pictures come out looking like paintings.

also, did you ever try cleaning the lens?

Blurry pictures

Most probably you have incorrectly set your camera to a Camera Record mode other than Auto.

If there is not enough light and you are trying to photograph the scene without flash, (eg. by setting your camera mode to a mode that is programmed not to use flash) then the camera has to compensate for the missing light by keeping its shutter open for a longer period of time so as enough light comes into its sensor.

If your hand shakes during that time, you get blurry images.

Check your camera settings. The Twilight scene mode gives you slower shutter speeds to capture dark, night scenes, but you need to stabilize the camera on a tripod or something, depending on the level of light of the scene you want to photograph. The Twilight Portrait, on the other hand, is the same as Twilight with the addition of flash is used to illuminate a person or foreground subject as well as capturing a night background. This mode also keeps a long shutter time for capturing the night background.

For taking pictures of people, I would suggest you use Auto or Portrait mode where the camera will automatically use fast shutter speeds and flash (if dark).

Hope this helps.
