I'm having the exact same problem. I haven't been able to figure it out yet and I've tried all the same things you have.

The same problem for me. Label prints partially, then feed button gets red.

Suggested solutions doesn't work. When pressing the feed button (printer out and on) no label is printed and the light blinks red.

I reinstalled the driver, checked label parameters, even entered

ECHO ^default>LPT1 in the DOS command to reinitiate the printer...

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks

Switch off printer at the side. hold down the green feed key, switch on whilst still holding- as soon as you see a red light let go, then as soon as you see another colour hold it down again until it goes amber. then let go. let it go green, then switch off again. then once again hold down the green feed key and switch on, only this time hold it down untill it flashes red twice then let go. it will then print out a series of label. after this, press the feed key a couple of times until the last label is blank. you may need to repeat this process. if this fails to work then it is a firmware issue and should be sent back to who you bought it from for a technical examination.

Hold the feed button while turning on the printer. After a config label prints, turn the printer off and then on again, and try printing again.

Also, make sure the lid is closed far enough to engage the lid sensor. If the red light comes on again, press down a bit on the lid, hit the feed button and try to print again.

Zebra eltron LP 2824 printing too light

This could simply be old direct thermal labels. Direct thermal labels have a shelf life of about 1 year from the date of manufacture. After that time has lapsed the thermal coating on the labels begins to dissipate and this will cause labels to print light or faded. You can trouble shoot with a roll known to be fresh. You can get one free here to test Labeldomain com .

OK where is the print spooler on the remote client or the server. Have you check whether this is clearing and not an issue with your remote setup and not the printer does the printer work correctly attached directly to the server break the problem down in stages

Our LP 2824 Zebra printer stalls with red light when printing labels. Tried calibrating but it stalls with solid red light before printing out data

Try another roll of labels? If that doesn't help, it may have a problem with the sensor that checks the starting point of the label. These are old so it's easy and cheap to replace with a similar unit.

Recalibrate the printer and you should be good to go. Do this by turning the printer off, press and hold the button and turn on the power. When the light flases red let go and it will calibrate, at the end it will do a printout. Reboot the printer and your fixed.

Zebra LP2824 not printing

Sounds like you put your printer into line mode. Line mode prints code so you can see what is sent to the printer to look for possible mistakes in the code.

To switch from line mode back to page mode.
  1. Turn printer off.
  2. Press and hold the feed button down. And switch printer on.
  3. Release the feed button when the LED flashes red.
  4. When the LED flashes green, press down the feed button.
  5. When the LED flashes amber release the feed button.
  6. Try printing now that the printer is back in page mode which is used for print your labels; line mode prints the labels code.
  7. Do this fast or else it wont work if you are slow.

the error you are getting is a label size error. a label variance of as little as 1/203th of an inch can cause this.

you need to recalibrate the printer to the media, hold feed when powering up the printer letting go once the light flashes 4 times. this will force the printer to autodetect the label size.

if you are specifying the label size in you software or driver settings, measure and double check the label size
