Maxi Cosi Priori Shoulder strap folded and caught fast!!

One of the shoulder straps has doubled over and therefore the metal clip won't slide up and down the strap as it's caught fast. We've completely taken it all apart and even put vaseline on to try and get the strap uncaught but nothing seems to be working. Any advice please?

Oh yes I have been there!

I am afraid it took me 2 days of brute force. You'll break before the clip does!
I recall using pliers..

Maxi-cosi tobi strap tensioner not working. able to tighten straps when child is in seat but when buckle is pressed to release straps and get child out, unable to loosen straps tensioner will not let go.

Hi, Make sure that when you go to loosen the shoulder straps that the **** strap is pulled toward you, otherwise you cannot make the shoulder straps loosen, this is a safety feature. Hope this helps.

Please can you tell me how to alter the shoulder straps. I would like to move the straps up to the centre position on the back of the child seat. Can you help?

open the little door behind the seat back, unhook teh straps from teh metal holder. Pull one side out completely from the back of teh chair and the shoulder pad.
Thread the free pad into the back of teh seat then out to teh front on teh other side,
Reverse the above but at the height you want
takes about 3 minutes

Can't take off maxi cosi carseat cover, because grey strap at the bottom doesn't come loose.

Slack off the straps as far as possible and recline the seat. Open the strap guard door on the rear of the bit of the seat that reclines (Item 3 on diagram http://www.maxi-cosi.com/media/producthandleidingen/maxicosi/PrioriFix.pdf). The shoulder straps can be released from the metal clasp which is in here. You can now pull the straps through the back of the seatand release the cover.

Maxi-cosi priori previous model

There is a brackety thingy (sorry I'm not real technical) in the back that the straps connect to. Remove them, extend it, and re-connect them.
