Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Samsung SCM-8300 CD Player

When putting CDs in, the system reads where the CD is at then deletes them from the display and read no CDs while up to 5 CDs are in the carriage. Can you solve the problem without getting a new chip or software. Thanks, Ron

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have a Samsung SCM-7450 Hi-Fi System. The CD player has stopped recognizing that there are CDs ready to play. Any suggestions?

There is nothing you can do and I doubt leaving the CDs in the unit would have made any difference with the problem you have now.
The CD player is an integrated unit with tape player, turntable etc so there are presumably no connections on the back of the unit that would allow you to connect a new CD player and run it through the unit. However, if it does have compatible connections then that is what I would do.

I hve a gemini cd 200 and the left deck stopped reading cd's. when i put in a disk the lcd reads no disk. What cuold be the problem.

Just like with any CD player, the optics have lifetimes. Either the optics are dirty and can not read the disk or they have failed. These units use KSS-213 optics assemblies from Sony, if I remember correctly. These can be purchased for around $25. Any one with audio repair experience should be able to replace them for you.

there are several options you can do as follows:
1. go to support.dell.com and download from the website any firmware updates available for your player.

2. Delete the UpperFilters registry entry loadTOCNode(3, 'resolution'); 1. In Registry Editor, expand My Computer, and then expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. 2. Expand SYSTEM, and then expand CurrentControlSet. 3. Expand Control, and then expand Class. 4. Under Class, click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. 5. Note An UpperFilters.bak registry entry may also appear. To delete the UpperFilters registry entry, you must click UpperFilters and not UpperFilters.bak. 6. On the Edit menu, click Delete. 7. When you receive the following message, click Yes to confirm the deletion of the UpperFilters registry entry: Are you sure you want to delete this value? The UpperFilters registry entry is removed from the {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} registry subkey.

Disc reading

hi there

long reading time for cds or dvds only means that there might be dust or residues hindering your cd lens to accurately read the data of the cd/dvd. what you can do is try to clean the lens with a cd cleaner.always check the cd/dvd that you insert are clean and fre of dust . if this still wont work and the player still have the long time to read the cd/dvds, my advise is to bring this to a service center and have this checked out.

hope this helps.

Mabye. I would suggest either opening the unit up and cleaning thr "laser" (optical pickup) with a q-tip. Or try using one of those cleaning cds that have the little cleaner fabric on the inderside... if that doesent work something is most like wrong with the cd machanism wether its not spinning the cd or just not reading it due to a defective laser.. ampman!
