Question about Oregon Scientific PDAs

1 Answer

I have a pair Transcievers TP-326 PMR, which on one of them it has become locked, with a key icon just to the right of the batt state icon. I cannot find a way of unlocking it, and there is no reference to how to lock/unlock the unit in the owners manual supplied with the units, and there is no button marked "Lock". The other unit is unlocked and works OK. I would appreciate your comments. Thankyou.

Take the battery cover off and at the bottom there's a padlock icon - push a small pin in and press the 'reset' (or unlock) switch - job done.

Early today, I inserted a 8350i's battery to my 7100i and it started all right. I bought my own battery for the 7100i and I am charging it right now, and no response.

try disconnecting the charger and disengage the battery..next, put the same battery on and charge it.if it doesn't work, insert your 8350 batt again.. if it the 8350 works, your new batt is defective., if not, you may have damaged your phone because 8350 is not the specified batt for your 7100..contact me if you have further questions. o9l8 45o 554sven. GOD BLESS..

I just unlocked a blackberry 8100 from t mobile to use on the att network and the t mobile sim still works with my phone however when I put the att sim card into the blackberry I get a message on the phone...

It hasn't been unlocked, try again and follow these instructions:

Model : T-mobile BlackBerry Models
1 – On the Home screen, click the Tools icon. The Options screen appears.
2 – In the tools screen, select the Settings icon.
3 – Scroll to SIM Card and select it. You should see the phone number and the SIM ID number.
4 – Type ‘mepd’ to display the first five levels of SIM locking.
T-Mobile uses network locking so the Network should display Active. All other states should display Disabled
Please note: For the Blackberry 7100t you will hit the “P” twice when entering the ‘mepd’ and ‘mep2′ for steps 4 & 5.
5 – Type ‘mep2′ to display the dialog box asking for the unlock code (Press the Alt + 2 key to get the number 2)
6 – Input the Network Unlock code
7 – Press ENTER and reboot handheld.
Model : BlackBerry Pearl 8100 (Alternative instructions if above instructions do not work)
Can be done without a sim card inserted
To Unlock:
1 – While on the home screen, click the “blackberry key” on keyboard, then select “options”.
2 – Choose “Advanced Options”.
3 – Select “Sim Card”
4 – There is no area to type these letters, you just type them as instructed. No need to hit keys twice to get a letter either. Type m e p p d to display the first five levels of SIM locking. Most companies use network locking so the Network should display Active. All other states should display Disabled ( you will not see text appear on screen
while typing )
5 – Type m e p p 2 to display the dialog box asking for the unlock code
(Press the Alt + 2 key to get the number 2) ( you will not see text
appear on screen while typing )
6 – Input the SIM Unlock code
7 – Press in the trackball in once
Your phone is unlocked

LOST ICON ON MY 8900

You have to remove the battery when mobile is turned ON and wait for few seconds re insert the battery then check. Still if you have the same issue Hold down the ALT key, and press right-hand CAP key press the DELETE key aswell together which reboots the device. So i request you to call your operator (customer care) and ask them to validate your account and send service book (settings) to your handset

Thank you

7290 with keyboard locked, used 9/10 goes, one go left of password

The easiest error is having the number, alt or caps lock on.

To check if this is the case, you will have an icon in the upper right hand of the screen.

Caps lock

Open up an email, or something else you can type into. Click the menu button, and select "enable multitap." Then go back to the menu and select "enable suretype." That took off the cap lock for me. I just wish I knew how it turned itself on to begin with!
