I had same problem, then I drop it to the solid ground about 1 feet high, and then it works again. Really. I think it is either caused by poor internal connection or anti-shock function that make it cannot access the internal Hard Drive.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Jvc kv-px9b showing id:4100 even after reset

The Reset won't make ID:4100 go away. I had same problem, then I dropped it to the solid ground about 1 feet high (on purpose), and then, to my surprise, it works again. Really. I think it is either caused by poor internal connection or anti-shock function that make it cannot access the internal Hard Drive.

Perform a hard reset than sync it with the Desktop manager.
Press and hold the Power button.
Depending on your device, the Power button may be in a different location. While holding the Power button, use the tip of the stylus (or a similar object without a sharp tip) to gently press and release the RESET button inside the hole on the back of your device.
The RESET button may be somewhere else on the back of your particular device.
First you'll see a palmOne or Palm logo and a progress bar. Keep holding Power.
Then you'll see a grey circular Palm Powered logo. Now you can release Power.
When the warning appears, press Up to confirm the hard reset.
If a language selection screen appears, select the same language you selected for your desktop software.

Modem automatically not configured ( Network Adapter)

This happens with almost all the modems and routers. You can try resetting the modem ( you can find the reset button at the back side or underneath the modem ). After the reset, the modem should get auto configured.

Thank you

Case upgrade for Dell Dimension 4100

The easiest thing to do it is look at your motherboard and make a note of the manufacturer and model/version number, as Dell don't make their own boards. Go to the manufacturers web site and search for the manual probably in PDF format and download it and look for the relevent power button connections.
