Your firewall block the communication. You will need to get into your protection software and allow 'full' access of MP Navigator (EXT)

34 short paper error

This error message means that the printer has determined that the length of the paper in the source specified on the second line of the display is too short to print the formatted data. For auto-size sensing trays, this error occurs if the guides are not in the correct position.

Please try to do the following

• Press Go to clear the message and continue printing. The printer does not automatically reprint the page that prompted the message.

• Make sure the Paper Size setting in the Paper Menu is correct for the size paper you are using. If MP Feeder Size is set to Universal, make sure your paper is large enough for the formatted data.

• Press Menu to open the Job Menu and cancel the current job. Please see also the media guidelines on the user manual p.29

4F message indicates that the printhead is gone, you will need to replace it to make it work again. Before you replace it though, you may want to try this, see if it will remove the error message: Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3. This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart, hopefully without the annoying cannot clean message.

chances are the feeder isnt feeding the paper at all, thats why you cant scan a single paper, try opening up the ADF and clean the feed rollers first, turn off the machine and gently rub the rollers again and again until you have a clean shot or surface, try this from thop to bottom rollers, please make sure though to insert uncreased paper and paper without eardogs on its leading edge, this could cause some delay upon feeding process

sometimes because it is exposed to dust, there is a tendency for the rolllers to slip, or you could be having a broken part that drives the feed rollers from your ADF.

This COULD BE that there is some paper stuck in the dcp. Open cover and try to see if there is some paper left in the machine. I ve noticed, that -seeing from behind!- on the right side paperpieces are stuck and disturb the disk (foil) which give the printer info what to do. Open cover and try to look into the edges (seeing from the front: its the left side -where the modell name is printed) In some cases this means that the purgecamshaft is defective.
