2006 Mitsubishi Lancer, gauge fuse keeps blowing. Have replaced the fuse twice, first time it was fine for a week but now it blows after a few minutes of driving...anysuggestionso

I would normally say to replace with a higher amp fuse, from a 15 to a 20. But it's possible you have a short somewhere in your system, grounding a power wire. A higher amp fuse could cause that grounded wire to overheat and burn making smoke. First thing to do is to check the ground wire(white)where connected to the firewall under dash and make sure they are clean and tight, for a good connection. The power may be backfeeding and causing the fuse to pop because of a week ground.

Fuse for horn keeps blowing on outlander 2007

Someone will need to troubleshoot the circuit to find the short to ground.
Could be in the wiring or the steering wheel.

It keep blowing up the fuse on pcb ***,y main power supply, we have changed the board twice , first time it worked for a week and second time for 2 hours before blowing up the fuse and probably the board,...

There must be another component which is causing this to happen IE/ The compressor, capacitor, fan, reversing valve coil or perhaps it may just be a damaged wire shorting somewhere. You will hav eto go through each component with an electrical test meter to ascertain which one is faulty... Good luck. Until then , i wouldnt go out and buy another board...it will blow that one as well...

Hi can you help i have a Saab 93 2.0LT 04 the windscreen washer keep blowing the fuse i have replaced it twice with no luck thanks jim

the fuse is telling you that something is drawing too much current through its circuit, making it blow out. to protect that circuit is its function. disconnect the electrical plug from the washer motor and put a new fuse in. if the fuse still blows out then your problem is something else shorted out in the circuit, and you should look at the legend to see what else shares that circuit. if the fuse does not blow out then you should get yourself another washer motor.

Blowing engine control fuse on 94 grand cherokee

You might have a wire from the engine control circuit that has rubbed through on the engine block somewhere. Do a visual inspection of the engine wiring, and look closely for any damaged insulation. I have seen a problem like this before. Good Luck!

Have him or her check for a ground issue or a bad wire somewhere. You should not be having to do this. This is some sort of electrical issue in the wiring most likely a grounding problem
