SOURCE: I'm having problems getting full power to my sub.
when bridgeing an amplifier it always sees half of whatever load you have on it, so if you have a 4ohm speaker when it is bridged the amp will see 2ohms, so yes you can bridge the 4 ohm speaker

A 2 ohm stable amp should be able to be bridged to 1 ohm (consult owner's manual for bridgability), but a 4 ohm speaker is a 4 ohm speaker and would need to be parallelled with another 4 ohm speaker to provide a 2 ohm load.

you can only bridge it if your amp is made for it......the only other way is to have another of the same amp.......tell me what you come up with
SOURCE: No LED power lights go on
the light with the power light(middle) is a blue/purple faint light try checking it out at night. The squiggy(as heat waves) will only light when the amps shuts down due to thermal protection(wait for it to cool). The bolt/yellow (short circuit) will light when there is an electrical overload in any of the wires(check +ve leads).
SOURCE: hi i have a mtx
The problem was caused by you trying to run a 2OHM load on an amplifier which is designed to run only on 4OHM when it is bridged, the amplifier is most definatley cooked. An authorized MTX technician should take a look at it, to determine just how wide spread the damage is.
