Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
Games will not play! When a game is put into the console, the Browser
System Configuration screen appears. When you click on browser, it states no data. When you go to system configuration, it will let you change the information, date, time, etc. but it will not let you play games. The game use to start up when you put the game in the console, now it shows browser - system configuration screen like stated above. Please help. The game belongs to my 5 year old and he really wants to play. It was working fine and then all of a sudden it stopped.
I am having the same problem with my PS2, but I have an HDD inside of mine. I am told this is a circuit problem inside the PS2 that doesn't allow the information to be transfered to the RAM. That's why you see “No Data” instead of the usual problem of “Disc Read Error”. I hate to say it, but it sounds like you are going to have to do the same thing I am about to do. Send it in to Sony and get it repaired.
I am also pretty sure this PS2 you are talking about is the large fat one, and not the slim one.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
