SOURCE: Fridge smells

Are there any drip channels in the back or bottom of the interior of the unit that may be clogged? These channels collect condensate and feed them to a pan under most refrigerators. I assume you have removed bottom food storage drawers and cleaned inside. Also try open box of baking soda which absorbs odors.

Adjust the temperature control for the freezer to a normal setting. Fast freeze is only for when new products are put in that need to be frozen. This locks the system into a continuous run mode and could be responsible for the freezing condition in the refrigerator section. Check the temperatures with a thermometer as the sensor for the freezer temperature could be bad causing the light to come on.

SOURCE: fridge not cold

I think that I have a solution. Refridgerator side not cooling.
I read in the blogs that holding down the top two bottons(power cool & fridge) at the same time resets the refridgerator control panel.

I may have caused the problem by leaving the door open. If my above solution does not work, then I will defrost the frefrigerator just in case the coils are froze up. It works with my air conditioner.

This looks like there is a problem with thermstat in the fridge. We had a fridge that would not cool and we found it to be the thermastat problem. You have to replace the thermstat on the fridge. Not 100% sure but a high possibility.

Samsung RF267 water tastes terrible. Filters changed twice and not helping

If new plumbing, system is flushing and may cause a bad taste or odd color.Has a food item spoiled?
Make sure that strong smelling food (for example, fish) is wrapped so that it
is airtight.
Clean out your freezer periodically and throw away any spoiled or suspect food. Place foods in airtight containers to prevent the transfer of odors. And also Flush out water hose from tap end to freezer with warm water And also clean fridge with wet cloth (with soap solution). And then clean with dry cloth. .Keep fridge door open after cleaning all compartments for 4hrs minimum, as fresh air could wipe out any bad odor in fridge. And then start using fridge. Hope, it's helpful.

Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

Whirlpool refrigirator with top freezer

run your hand around bottom door seal see if you can feel a warm spot, if you do check that area for contamanation ie;particals of food etc if not pull the seal in that area back slightly see if seal is split.if all seems ok look at the drain hole at the back of your fridge inside it often clogs up with small particals of food if this is the problem use a pipe cleaner to clean it.if its cloged water will be seen lying at the bottom of your fridge ;if any of the above do not cure your problem turn down your fridge a little this will not affect your freezer.hope this helps you.adrian

Is this fridge new?
Does it matter how cold you crank the dial on the fridge -- does it just stay the same temp?

If so, i had this problem with my new fridge.
The manufacturer did not connect the fan before shipping it out. Therefore, the cold air collected in the freezer (alcohol would freeze to sluch) but the fridge stayed the same temp (all the food would go bad).
Since it was still under warranty they fixed it.
Repair man came out, took the freezer apart from the inside and rehooked up the fan. Has worked great ever since.

If this isn't a new fridge than my guess is that the fan has stopped working and might need to be replaced.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck.

not really sure as far a swhatconstitutes ruining along time, you are doing the right thing by keeping it clean for sure, refrigs now run for as long as they need if it never stopped running youd see hte effects of that in 2 ways, either all your food would be FROZEN solid( cause it never shuts off), or your food would be spoiling quicker hat n usual, in which case your refrig is trying to run all the time to maintain temps! the noise that you hear running might just be the evap fan motor running( circulater fan, sure its gonna run to circulate, but the compressor wont be running all the time.. check and go by your dairy products, ice cream too hard or too soft, and in refrig check the milk and butter.youll never know how cold you leftover is but youll know right away if the milk it too warm
