It may not take the iPod directly if it doesn't have a dock built in, but you can always connect the iPod to an available input with a suitable cable. You'll need a cable with a plug to fit the iPod headphone jack (a 1/8-inch stereo plug) at one end, and probably RCA plugs at the receiver end. Radio Shack sells one so you can see what you're looking for. If you have an iPod dock, they often have audio output jacks for connecting to your receiver. You may need a cable with RCA plugs on both ends.

If your car has a cassette player;they sale a cassette that has a plug that fits into your ipod earphone jack. It will serve the purpose well. If not; you will perhaps need a new radio that accomodates a plugin.

I connected my ipod 30gb yesterday, received a message that there was a newer version of itunes for my ipod. I answered yes to download. After download was complete, all that I see on my ipod is "please...

This might happen when 'that application doesnt allow your ipod to be charged when it is getting installed'.

so my suggestion is quit the installation. Charge it fully, and then go for installation.

Please rate my comment if you feel it is helpful.

thanks.
have a great day.

Help with ipod connection to cd player

You must use 1 of 3 methods to connect your iPod
1. FM modulator to wirelessly broadcast on a low FM band
2. iPod 3.5mm male/male direct connect cable.
3. iPod USB connection - with Pioneer iPod adapter module.

The direct connect 3.5mm port is on the back of the unit. One plugs into the radio - one plugs into the iPod headphone port.

Ipod 30gig/more gigbits/ capacity expansion

Hi,
Yes you can get up to 160 GB or more now.. If you want to keep the same iPod, you can have the hard drive replace with a 60 GB. You will also have to change the back and battery to accomodate the larger hard drive. There are a number of companies that will do it for you and some will even send you a postage paid box. Just do a Google search for ipod repair. Hope that helps.
