Failure to log in.

We have recently reset our zyair g-4100 v2 due to logging in probs, tried logging in several times to the ip address 192.168.1.1 with no luck. Have noticed however that when we click our zyxel icon, it takes me straight to the internet, on further investigation i could not find any software, driver etc for it, it has just vanished. I did go into start, command, prompt and ping the address, also with no luck.
Your help would be much appreciated. I am currently unable to check my emails so chat or a phone call would be most convenient.

Just a suggestion...try to loop-back ping to make sure YOUR still on the network. If you are have you tried tracert? The IES-1000 is an IP-based DSLAM, so you should get something back. Here is a link that may help you a bit more http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000444.htm

There is a work around for this issue. The account logs can be sorted on date, which puts the latest entries on top of the pile, irrespective of the S/N.

See the attached manual and look up page 42 where is shows how to reset your router to the default settings. The default ip is 192.168.1.1.

Be sure that your router adress is 192.168.1.1 you can use winipcfg in windows (the gateway address is what you are looking for) to see if its the good adress.

If its not working use another browser, simply restart the router or Hard Reset the router with a paper clip.

I reset my router to factory default! Now it needs to be reconfigured.

Typically you plug the computer into one of the numbered available ports on the router - and plug the wire from the modem in the WAN port connection. You should then be connected. you may need to restart your compute but typically this is dynamic. Open a web browser and just goto Google.com and see if the page displays. You can open a CMD window and type ipconfig and you will get the ip address of where you can use a browser to log in to the console. The default Gateway IP address is the web console of the modem, you would type that into a web browser. You will need to know the default id and password - if you know this already and you are in the console - there is not much else you should actually touch. You can view these tutorials as well.

My asus wl-500gP v2 can't connect to the wan properly... I get the message "you have set the wrong dynamic or stic IP address for you WL-500gP V2." I'm confused because I have it set to dynamic which...

Your ISP address is dynamic, which means every time you log on to your ISP, your WAN IP address changes, this helps to stop hacking. Your ISP even though it is cable uses PPPoE/PPPoA, so you should set your router to this, not dymamic, setting your router to dynamic will make your router look for a different IP address every time your computer tries to log to it, your computer should have e.g 192.168.1.2, which is static, you can check this by going to command prompt and typing ipconfig, see what it brings up. hope this helps and post back if you need further help.

I have a speedstream 4100 , it has 5 lights one for activity and the others are allways when its working right. sometimes the first 2 will be green and the dsl light will flash red then green & go normal...

You will need to contact your DSL provider to come out and physicly check the lines. I had the same issue, and it turned out to be a faulty line.

Also you should be able to reset your device by logging into it on the LAN connection by putting a spacific IP address into your address bar of your browser, common IP's for modem's / DSL routers would be:

192.168.1.0
192.168.1.1
192.168.0.0
192.168.0.1
192.168.1.254
192.168.0.254

Again, you may need to have your lines checked by yuor DSL provider to rule out improper line installation, or improper line filters

Hp laserjet 3055 offline when print out via networking when direct to the laptop, its working fine.......

Go to reports print configuration page it will give to netwrok configuration page check if the printer IP Address is in the same range of the IP Address of the laptopn.
If yes than check if you are able to open web browser of the printer on lkaptop using IP address of the printer if yes in laptop go to printer driver properties there go in Ports Tab and check if the Standard TCP/IP Port has IP Address of the printer of some other IP Addressif it is different IP Address than change it to the IP Addess of the printer.

Simmens speedstream 4100 modem probs

Look at the log on your 4100. Select "keep log on restart".
Look for log outs and about 4 steps down Log ins (mine were about 20 seconds apart).
See if your modem reset (watch your lights) coincides with taking your phone off hook. Take phone off hook for about 20 seconds until you loose dial tone (mine would reset at this point about 50% of the time and show several log off-on in the log.
My phone company tech (SBC/AT&T) said that there engineering department had them install some line equipment at drop site that caused this problem. If you can do something to force the reset, then you'll get some action by your telco. Otherwise the testing they do will not show a problem.
If this does not work, contact your state PUC. Your phone company will be more cooperative when they are contacted by the PUC.

Router won't log into it's IP address online

Is your desktop getting an ip address from the router?
You said that you reset the router, do you mean turning it on and off or pressing the reset button?
