I just moved out to rural Alaska and we have a Toyo Laser 56 heater to heat our little cabin. However, the other day our stove was knocked over, pulling the heater away from the wall, and lying it on its side. The fuel line was not detached, but what I believe to be the air vent was disconnected. Now, it doesn't seem like the heater produces and heat, just air. It almost seems as though no "flame" is being prduced to create the heat. Any ideas? Do you think this is able to be fixed? I'm not sure who I can call since we live remote. Any advice you could give would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks again so very much.

No this is not right. You can remove the air hose for a short time until you can get another part, i.e., new flue pipe. The stove tech should have told you he would be back with a new part. As far as the igniter is concerned it could be replaced without removing the heater. Now, if you had flooded the unit trying to start it many times your mechanic might have had to take the unit out just to be able to clean it completely.
Your Laser 55 burner mat has erroded away. The fuel is pooling someplace in the burner rather than spreading smoothly over the bottom. The stuff on the igniter may be hardened carbon from a poor flame. Bottom line is some burner work. A new mat, ring and cleaning the burner air holes is in order. Don't be surprised if the heat chamber is cracked beyond repair when you get it off. NOW for the bad news. The Laser 55 and 72 are older heaters. You will find just about all the electrical parts are going to be hard to find. They are no longer being made. Your 55 will be able to use the newer 56 blower, mat and burner ring. You will also be able to use the heat element off a 56 as well. If there is a problem with the fuel pump causing your poor flame you will be out of luck.
Remove the flex hose from the back of the stove. If there is a small hole in the back of the stove, stick a pencil in there and spin the motor. Try to start the stove. If the motor won't spin at all or if it spins freely and the stove still shows an EE8 you need a new motor.
You or your local dealer can change the motor in 30 minutes.

The most common reason for the EE12 error code is that the Toyo is not getting enough air circulation across the heat exchanger and causing it to overheat. Look at the back of your Toyo where the black frame around the circulating fan and flue pipe is. You will see a screen that slides in a slot at the back of the Toyo. Slide the screen out and clean it. If you have a smoker or the Toyo is in a kitchen area where it collects nicotine or grease then you may need to clean it with hot water, detergent, or 409 Cleaner to get the sticky residue off that the dust fuzz collects on and clog your screen. EE12 can be caused by a couple other issues, but they are more rare. Try this first and let me know if it works! toyotechnician

The firing process is the burner button blinks green for 7-9 minutes, then it clicks up to the medium, yellow light which starts flashing. That is when the fuel pump starts pumping. If you hear a fairly audible tic tic, or thump thump coming from the fuel pump then that is your indication that the fuel pump is starving for fuel. You either have a fuel line restriction, too little fuel, a clogged filter, a clogged sump screen, or rarely, a failing fuel pump. Usually, it is a fuel line restriction.
If you hear no tic tic or thump thump and it just goes off on EE2 then the problem is in the burn chamber. You may have a carbon chain in the chamber causing the flame sensor to temporarily short out. You can clean the flame sensor, fuel nozzle, and igniter to resolve this problem until you can get your Toyo tuned up.
