Question about PC Laptops
LG models seem to have constant issues with web cams not working. The BIOS settings should be accurate, but if not, resetting by allowing the power to be removed for at least 60 seconds may help, as indicated by skippy59 above.
If you are missing the software to run the cam as others have stated, check your All Programs list, and then check Program Files for the proper program.

I bought an LGE50 (E500) notebook 4 months ago and 2 days ago I finally got around to trying out the camera (SmartCam) only to find that it didn't work. It has the original Vista OS that it came with and I've installed MS Office 2007. I tried pressing the Fn and F10 keys simultaneously and also putting it in sleep mode and logging in again but both without success. Yesterday I rang LG service and they told me to: shut down, remove battery, wait 1 minute, plug in power supply only (not battery), turn on, enter into the bios settings upon boot up, select "default" settings, continue boot up then shut down, install battery and boot up in the normal manner. Hey presto! I have SmartCam working!
