It is not done at the router but at each device. The router supplies connections via a local sub-masked address. It is typically assigned an IP address via the ISP's DHCP server. Typically usernames are used for e-mail and Usenet. Your connection is validated by the MAC address on the router. Your ISP can not look beyond your router. You can have 1 device or dozens. It matters not.
Connect your computer to the router.
Under Windows 7, click the "Start" button.
Type 'cmd' into the search-box, and press ENTER.
Enter 'IPCONFIG /ALL'.
Look for the IP-address of the "gateway" (or "DHCP-server").
Type that IP-address into your web-browser.
be sure to check every point on this TIP to connect to "prescribed site" (I assume the default router IP address 192.168.0.1) you must be on same subnet and connect using a cable to router. Consult Quick install Guide or follow user manual Page !0 instructions: First, disable the Access the Internet using a proxy server function. To disable this function, go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings and uncheck the enable box. Open your web browser program such as Internet Explorer. Type the IP address of the DWL-2100AP in the address field (http://192.168.0.50) and press Enter. Make sure that the IP addresses of the DWL-2100AP and your computer are in the same subnet.

Hi, 192.168.0.50 is the default for your router. If you are sure that your wireless settings are okay on your PC and that you can see the network in your wireless networks list, then it's possible that your settings have been remotely changed. You can do a hard reset of the router by pressing a paper clip or something sharp into the little reset hole in the back and holding for 15 seconds. This will reset all settings and, once all the lights have stopped flashing and are remaining on, try 192.168.0.50 again, and enter admin for username and leave the password blank. now you can enable WEP or WPA and choose a password. Write this down! :) Also change the router's login passphrase if you wish.
I have had similar problems with DWL-2100 and (much less often) with DWL-3200. I have no solution, but a workaround: changing the authentication mode. For example, if the units are using WPA-Personal, I change it (on both) to WPA2-Personal or WPA-Auto-Personal. It doesn't seem to matter which mode is used, it's just the fact of changing it that helps (eventually). You may have to go through the process more than once. Also, realize that although the web interface comes up 30 seconds or so after a reboot, it may take another 30-60 seconds before a link is established, so don't give up too soon while trying these changes.
hat type of connection do you have? if you connect everything and put 192.168.0.1 in the address field in the browser you will be taken to the dlink router setup page. the default username is admin and the password is admin. from there you should see a setup link.
To use the DWL-2100AP as an access point (repeater), You have to set it up on the repeater mode and type in the MAC address of the router. The best way to do this is to run the AP manager from the cd.
Here is a link to the D-Link support page. Click on product manual from under the Support resources http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=292:
copy and paste the complete link into your browser. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
I think that you trying implement NAT on this wireless access point , if you got /24 mean you can use 192.168.16.1 - 192.168.16.254 range. This kind of router do have few steps to go basically you have to provide WAN settings that your up link information, then your Broadcast information such as SSID,DHCP,WEP.WPA,etc.
