Question about Compaq Presario Notebook
When i install this driver shows no media device found
Be sure that you are installing the correct driver from the site with the one that you are needing. Make sure they match. If they do and you are still having the problem, Go to your computer's control panel and do an auto hardware search. If that does not work, try doing a System Restore. If that does not work, back up your files and reformat your hard drive and reinstall your operating system. But, use this as a last case scenario. If you can find other suggestions posted anywhere (maybe search google and post your specific problem on your specific laptop). I hope any one of these suggestions helps you. I have had the same problem a couple of times. One time doing an auto hardware search corrected the problem. The other time, I ended up just having to reformat the hard drive and then I reinstalled my operating system. Ohh, on another instance, I did a system restore, and it found the hardware that was not showing on my laptop, but the hardware then was not my cd/dvd drive.
