I lost the receipt to my PS3 and need prove of purchase. how do i get it?

Tell them the date and time that you purchased it if with debit or credit card take a statement with you and get them to find the copy of your receipt.

Well if you remember the info username and password make a new user sign up for psn network then click use existing acc and enter it in otherwise you can call sony and they will ask a few questions to you to prove the acc is yours and they will imeaditly fix the prob and get you the maps :)

Its been 3 days now and still no power.


I think you should go ahead and buy yourself an another cord and see if that's part of the problem. You should have a warranty if you've filled out the sony card and send it with a copy on the date of purchase. If you didn't do that and lost the receipt then I hope you've purchased it through credit card and you should be fine unless it's been more than a year. However, I'm sure that Sony will be happy to spot a troubleshooting guide and explain what can be done. Oh, one more thing, push the power cord in a little harder and/or wiggle the power cord and see if it turns on. It's possible that you've got a faulty line or it's just not getting the connection.

If you have only just purchased it from him, then it is obvious that it was not in good working order when you purchased it. Contact paypal inform them that you purchased it in good faith and it does not work. Ask them for further advise on how to get your money back.

I am afraid you will need the original proof of purchase, if you still have the details in you email account about the person you purchased it from, try to contact them and ask them for the receipt if they have one.

If you've lost your receipt and you purchased your PSP from a Best Buy™ store or online at BestBuy.com, there are a couple of options available to you. First, you can always stop into your local store and speak with an associate at the customer service desk. Alternatively, you can always give us a call directly at 888-BEST-BUY (888-237-8289) and request to speak with our receipt department. As long as you paid for your purchase using a credit card or check, we should be able to easily locate the sale using your name and telephone number.

Unfortunately, with cash and debit card purchases this is not always possible, and you may be asked for some additional information (date of purchase, store location, payment type, etc.).
