Question about Dell Axim X5 Pocket PC
I have an Axim 400 MHZ model and have been trying to use the Dell Data Backup program to backup my data onto a 32 MB CF card. Each time I try using the "Back up all data" paramenter, after about 80%+ through backing up the data, I get a backup failure message. I tried doing the full back up to the built-in storage and got the same backup failure message. My conclusion is that the problem is not with the CF card. The Axim reports that 6977 KB of storage is required, so I conclude that I have more than enough memory on the CF card (which is empty) and the internal storage memory, which has 26.33 MB free. When I try to back up using the "PIM databases only" parameter, then it works OK. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone suggest a solution?

After doing a soft reset to enable Clear Type, I tried a backup of all data and everything worked! Nor Backup Failure Message and the backup file can be seen on the CF card.
